Looking forward to seeing more of this would actually really appreciate some any additional explaining of what is going on or problems encountered and what the plan is as your going feel like a lot could be learned from what your doing for someone who doesn’t know much about cars in general

great video! i have bever seen a 205 engine with egr pipes on the header. is this a 1.6? +1 sub

Yes, the egr system seems to be uncommon, I haven’t seen it on other 205 either. Its 87 year 1.6 gti. Thanks for the sub!

thank you for the vid! hope there is comming more from the rebuild. was the engine in your 205 or did you buy it alone? it also could be a 309 or 405 engine. but that doesnt matter, its still a xu9

@@lukaswilfinger8752 engine is from this car. As far as i can tell, it was never removed from the car before, and it seems to be original one, but you can never really know :)

yes, you never now where the engine from. the rest of the engine looks pretty solid. i have seen way worse blocks (even cracked ones) then this. looking forward for you rebuild 👍

congrats to your barnfind 205 gti. i am also rebuilding a 205 gti, it seems like a never ending story. thank god those cars a not rocket science and very easy to rebuild. all the best from switzerland
