Hi, draft a square of 10,5 by 10,5 inch which is 1/4 measurement. Step 2 divide the square in 4 half each square should be 5 eaches. Step 3. Your dart wirth intake base on your bust it's 1-1,6 inches apply (e.g 1 inch on each side of the dart leg) do this on on side dart including bottom dart.

As for r the wire you have to find one for your bust size and the also come in different shapes also depends on the style of bra your going for.

Use microtex needles for satin I rec you use ultrafine sewing machine needles, no thicker than 60 or 70. Ideally, you would use microtex needles specially designed for delicate fabrics.

And for the bra band spandex should be used as the pattern drafting tutorial indicates. But for bra cups and cradle you can use non stretch material.

Thank you for the clear instructions for drafting the bra pattern. The seam allowance decision is clear regarding the width of the elastic but how will the elastic to be positioned and stitched to turn the fabric edge and still secure the full width of the elastic?

Hi, the underbust will be first sewn out then turned inside hence the seam allowance of the band will be accommodate.

I'm glad i finally come across your well explained vid and i just drafted along your tutorial. Thanks Pls i want to ask what measurement to use to create the angle when coming in by 1.5 inch on the front pattern crotch. I found my own triangle looking too wide/ farther away from the initial hip line. Secondly, pls can you share a tutorial on panties using a cotton fabric/non stretchy fabric and no elastic. Hi as for the crotch of the front pattern mark 1,5 then to create a leg opening find the center point from 1,5 to hip line then from the center point go up by 1 inch. In that way you will have to connect all the 3 point 1,5 inch from the crotch to the 1 inch. Then from the hip line to the 1 inch you went up by. Hope this helped happy sewing.

ok . . . the making of the square is very clear. . . . I don't understand where that 15.5 came from at 2:19 or where the numbers for marking of the darts came from. I am just stimied.

The 15,5cm it's the height of the cup you can go higher by 18cm-19cm for coverage. . To find the dart wirth divide point I and F by 4 Then take the answer and place it on point f each side even on the upper dart, as Bust Dart Wirth differ for every one depending on the Bust size.

Dont darts get tapered in the end ? Or tapering of darts is not recommended in vest pattern ?

I've done this method on 3 of my waistcoat and never had problems, note that a dart can be moved depending on the style and garment your making this includes in corset, trouser, pencil skirt even jacket. Hope this help happy sewing.

I know probably somebody else made this question in another video, but for the underbust band, you need a quarter of the underbust measurements, right? Not the bust one.

Hope I answer your question but to get your correct band bra size you need to measure your under bust then divide 1/4 to Get the band size not the elastic for under bust. Hope this answer helped 😊.

The adjustment measures are included incase if your having fitting problem on the pattern course we have have different body, also consider this as a basic block pattern for bra feel free to adjust it to your fit😊.
