I’m pretty sure we were there at the same time!!! I looked at my video of where the reverse thrust ended on landing and they were basically identical. Also looked at the runway texture being the same. When did you record this because I got my landing footage a couple of months ago! Edit: I could post my video if you’d want to see it!

Glad we have another international airline on PDX grounds. I will miss Delta's A330's however, since they were (at least in spirit) the last of NWA's heavy lineage here. On the rumor mill, I've heard that KLM will begin 777-200(ER) operations 10/26/2025.

KLM took Delta’s place on the PDX-AMS ROUTE. Delta flew it daily while KLM will run it 3 days a week in the winter and 5 days a week in summer.

I saw this plane and recorded it. Obviously my recording of it wasnt the best. (The Airport Terminal was blocking most of it) and at the time I didnt know why there was a KLM 787 in PDX. I knew that British Airways and Icelandair had routes in PDX. I just saw the KLM plane, was a bit excited, recorded it and then just continued doing what i was doing. It wasnt until I got home when I realized why KLM was in Portland and how it was a special occurrence.

.skipped ahead after the Atlas 747 landing to the FedEx takeoff and then the Atlas departing., Just can't get excited about 737s, A320s, and RJs. having lived back in the "classic" era with the "big jets" like 707s, DC-8s, 747s, DC-10s and L1011s. We used to call the 737 the "Baby Boeing".

Hey there! ! I am also a planespotter and my home airport is Newark Liberty International Airport in the New York Metro Area! I am actually coming to the Northwestern UnitedStates on vacation next week and would love to planespot at Portland! I would appreciate it a lot if you can tell me the best spots to go to to planespot and what spots you use. Thank you! Btw, i heard the Sheraton Hotel Parking lot is a good area for 28R arrivals. Have you been to this spot before, and if so, does it cost money to park here. Also, how much does it cost to park at short term parking garage? And which runways is the most active for arrivals? Sorry for all the questions lol, I really want to have a good time at portland!

Junior Student Pilot / Past Church Altar Boy (Acolyte) here. Just wanna say that I had served as a bell ringer (single bell) since more than a month ago, and aviation really sparked my heart since then. The moment I see just any aircraft makes my heart feel amazed. It’s really my dream to pilot one of these planes, especially the Boeing 747. I would’ve cried the whole flight if I were to fly the beautiful Boeing 747. Aviation is a spectacular topic created by God. Just here, I see not just the airframes as a whole, but the beautiful creation of God. The beauty of the world, especially the planes like the Boeing 747 are created by God. Every time I see a plane taking off, I count it as a beauty of God’s wonderful creation. Love for God, love for the Eucharist, and love for aviation. ❤️😍✝️✈️
