At this point, even reading the whole manga won't actually do you much good. There are soooo many new scenes that change the context of the old scenes. Also, it seems Kubo is changing the ending, or at least it's gonna be greatly expanded.

Hey! I’m very new to this (recording myself and capturing/sharing all of my thoughts) - started like 2 months ago. I don’t do art reviews, just making very light comments at the moment. I made this channel just to have some fun: a bit of art appreciation, a bit of personal observations and of course reaction to the storytelling. But as an artist, I make paintings and sculptures for a living (like weird, grotesque-ish art).

dude... just advice. maybe dont do the effect you did at the intro. the bouncy camera thing? it is short enough but also gave hints of motion sickness

Yeah, sad. The studio changed because of some production issues. I know the Director of ep 1 got replaced for the rest of the episode. Just the curse of Junji Ito getting subpar adaptation. Gonna still watch it though to just see all the animation and art style error

Normally, horses and armor are quite difficult to animate by hand, so the legs are hidden or only a moment of the whole body is shown. Since the horses appear quite a bit in this anime, the director of this episode seems to be trying to compensate for this with dynamic camera work that only CG can do.

As I recall, the artist who painted the spectators in the background said on Twitter that he drew it as a Renoir reference.
