Sprayer is the number 1 used piece of farm equipment. Saying “sustainable” 17 times does not change that. Farmers would double their chemicals if it increased profits.

Very well said Mark. The message is very clear, the best weapon we have against issues such as climate change and the likes is an integrated approach. Every built tech has its unique strong points and those brought together produce an emergent property that marks the heart of success in Agrisystems. Nice interview

did you know for over half a century, staple food crops in the US such as corn, wheat, apples and citrus have been sprayed with chlorpyrifos, an organophosphate pesticide that can permanently damage the development of childrens brains! Causing reduced iq, loss of working memory, and attention deficit disorders. 😊 Not to mention when chemical pesticides and fertilisers are sprayed, the microbes in the soil will die and will no longer be able to support life, no worries though because thats what fertilisers are for! to replace the nutrients in the soil, it’s not like fallen leaves and other organic matter fo that anyway! It’s now proven our soil one has a century left until it cannot produce anymore crops! We love chemicals 😐

What better way to sequester carbon than by stewarding our soils in such a way that they become enriched with organic matter making them more productive and able to retain more water? SWRT Solutions subsurface water retention technology has been proven around the world by independent Scientists to double the amount of water retained in sandy soils. Dramatic improvements in crop production have been replicated as well. Governments that want to help increase the productivity of farmland and save up to 50% of irrigation water and make best use of rainfall need to investigate the benefits of SWRT membranes.

I am a very strong supporter of modern crop science so I am puzzled why the lie? GMO crops have been grown for at least 33 years. 8 years off!
@CropLifeInternational
@CropLifeInternational 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Popeye, yes, GMO crops were grown in farmer plots well before coming to market but 1995 was the year when farmers were growing them and were able to sell them commercially after finally getting government approval. There were the Flavr Savr tomatoes before this, but since they are not on the market anymore, we're not including them in the timeline.

@@CropLifeInternational Wrong again. You are sloppy with your 'facts'. GMO insulin in 1982, first GM crops in 1987.
