@@DerekDavis213 I know people have been disappointed in the previous promises, but to you, it doesn’t feel different and much much closer to happening soon in this moment? We have seen working prototypes of cyber cab on 10/10 and they continue to test those vehicles and they are supposed to hit mass production by the end of 2026. Austin, TX and atleast one city in CA are in active discussion to launch Robotaxi services in their cities in 2025. The Trump administration is working on Federal regulations for Robotaxis as a high priority. FSD 12 and 13 (so far) appear to be big leaps in progress. Waymos are already on pace to do what 10 million rides per year in 2025; different tech, I know, but it signals to me, it’s just a matter of time for Tesla. And that time isn’t far off. Even if rides are remotely supervised, like Waymo, my bet is people will be paying for autonomous rides in Tesla vehicles in 2025.

Yeah, I’m seeing the same. A lot of weird braking, seemingly out of nowhere, and yes, the mapping is screwed up. This I don’t get. GPS mapping should be clean, however the system now takes me through multiple turns on slower streets to get to my destination. I do get there, but it’s not the fastest or most direct route. Very strange. I do hope Tesla is working to correct these issues. I do love FSD, however, I’m anxious right now using it. For 8K, this should work.

Thank you for your content. Something to consider: Tesla Full Self Driving-Unsupervised is a still-born effort unless Elon Musk can convince millions of families to trust Elon Musk and the onboard hardware and software. Here is the litmus test we should use to project adoption of FSD-Unsupervised. Would you place your teenage children and smaller children in the non-driver seats of your FSD-Unsupervised Tesla and send them to a movie theatre at night 10 miles from your home on a Friday or Saturday night? A responsible parent would now have to make a series of sober risk calculations. All of a sudden FSD-Unsupervised becomes a product that could irrevocably change your life if redundancy is subpar or the inventors claims of being x-numbers safer than an human cannot be relied upon. I believe most parents would not place their children in the FSD-Unsupervised vehicle with no competent driver at the wheel to take back control from the technology.
@RioPerez12 ай бұрын
I appreciate your thoughtful comment Chris. 12.5.4.1 is not something I would feel comfortable with my family in without a driver. Previous iterations of V12 have hit the point where I thought it was safe enough to trust with family. I do believe we will get their though in the near future. At this time FSD is safe, but reliability, safety, and convenience are not yet fully flushed out as we all know.
@chrispnw25472 ай бұрын
@@RioPerez1 I think the public needs to stay extremely sober about Tesla FSD Unsupervised. As a parent with several children, we will know FSD Unsupervised is safe when he places his children in a Tesla FSD-Unsupervised vehicle and sends them on a complicated route to a destination (no prior tracking of the route, no manipulation of the experience a general customer would have). I want to give Mr. Musk all the praise he deserves but he has to demonstrate a level of sobriety commensurate with the level of accountability he has taken on. Have you seen anything formally announced that Tesla will take full responsibility/liability for FSD-Unsupervised if it is found an accident is due to the failure of the technology?

As someone who got a solar array installed several years back that was as big as possible with the SRECs and the credits, it wasn't enough to cover 100%. Still definitely worth it, but now they won't give me any credit to buy additional panels. Just make sure they spec you out for at least 110% of your annual usage. If you plan on getting a 2nd or 3rd EV, it might be worthy to aim for 120%.
