KASE is one of my gp-to airports for testing new a/c in MSFS, as it is a challenge to land on either rwy (or t/o on 15 in a non-turbo recip) given the non-standard approaches and frequent mountain obscuration (often requiring a GA or alternate). The Phenom 100 does have a tendency to float a bit on landing. Anyway, I just picked this up on the Marketplace for only US$5--what a deal! My main issues are: 1) As is unfortunately the case with most MSFS a/c, the AP is terrible! It may work for a while, then suddenly initiate an uncommanded roll to the left, which will continue until you disengage. I've complained about this for years but they've not bothered to fix it--unbelievable, as most flight time in most types involves heavy use of AP; 2) So far, I'm happy with this a/c, but a weird, minor bug is that I've been unable to turn off the landing lights, either with a mouse click or the bound button on my Honeycomb Bravo quadrant. Very annoying, and not a problem with other a/c.

Where is the UK2000 common library 3.61??

Is Skypark still working? All I can do is "Save" but not "Request" a flight mission, even at the beginning flight. Then when I "Begin Flight" I can't load the items asked for (ie: the Skypads for the beginner flight run).

Can this work for Xbox? I'm trying to get pac750 familiarity. Or would you recommend PC? Thanks

What you say about P3D and the community being beta testers is NOT TRUE. I am a beta tester for p3D and they test it first before rolling it out live to the public. They do actually care about the community having a good experience and listen very carefully in the forums, implement features that devs want and that users report as errors. Many 3rd party devs are also in the beta team and there is a very close community in the testing team. They just dont showcase or shout about their release like other devs of sims do.

it’s 2024. don’t preorder and don’t purchase day one. i don’t need a refund because i didn’t trust them. i waited for the disaster to unfold. if they get the sim to where i feel it should be, and my 3rd party aircraft work, at that point they can have my money.

As a Bigscreen Beyond Valve Index controller user it is hard to believe that the VR controller support is worse in 2024 than 2020. I hope this can be resolved in a short period of time but will be spending my time in the other sim that has great VR controller support and has had it for 6 years so not sure why MSFS can't get this resolved.

That's exactly why the marketplace isn't launch. Us devs were not ready. We saw the sim wasn't ready, we weren't satisfied with how our FS20 products look in FS24 etc etc etc. Some of us even thought we had the choice to choose what products will show in 2024 even for FS2020 product owners. Because we never gave these things to Microsoft with FS2024 in mind. Besides that even to this day there are many bugs preventing us developer from having many features with our 2024 products. It's just a huge mess.

Has anyone ever thought that maybe they made their launch based from pre order numbers only. They say 200,000. What if they did this on purpose to get the extra promotion for the product. Best advertising is done by people/users for free when they hit the socials.

They could still move back some things on your local client I suppose... Airports and aircraft should remain on your SSD as well as base 3D assets. Basically, things that are less prone to change massively in a near future. It's fine to fully stream the terrain data so they can avoid to push big world updates but aircraft and airports? I don't know...

It's a poor start, but with all due respect I feel that you are all largely talking from last week's perspective on this. Without question this was the most botched major game/sim launch in history from a company that is best placed not to make such a complete mess of it. However things have settled down and we've started to examine the potential of what we have here and it is tremendous, with a major tubeliner add-on (Fenix) already working very nicely in the sim. To be fair to Microsoft/Asobo, they never stopped improving FS2020 and I'm sure it will be more of the same here. Is it ideal? No, but the potential has now started to surface and I, for one, think it's pretty exciting.

2024 is better than the 2020 release. It took a year for the game (2020) to become playable on a very competent PC. Less than a week after the launch of 2024, I'm flying basic missions and expect that it will continue to get better as the weeks and months pass.

experienced a lot of bugs. i guess the graphics are a bit better and it seems a little smoother? i think though, that we are months away, if at all, in seeing my fave 2020 payware aircraft in the sim. i just don’t think i’m interested without fenix, a2a, flyingiron, pmdg and probably the kodiak.

Why are people upset that on DAY ONE of the release, that there's a backup? I bought a PHYSICAL copy of 2020 and avoided DL problems!

Flight Simulation was single-handedly kept alive by the community for how many years... I feel that the nature of an NDA ensures that development takes place within an echo chamber, devoid of connection to the broader development community! I think it has proven to be detrimental. The release should have been held off or come with a disclaimer of being a W.I.P and needs more work to be done. I feel like we are now all scratching our heads.

I'm staying away from this version. As an airline flyer in FS2020, I wont really see the beautiful trees anyway. With the Map Enhancement Mod for FS2020, it helps with ground textures and brings enough life to the sim for me.

This launch is such a huge disaster that it's not even relevant to discuss it.

Ya Tell it as it is I never trusted French companies !! I am core simmer I will stick to MSFS 2020 until everything is fixed.

Th elaunch wasn't all that good, indeed. Nothing we can do abut that now, other than useless whining about it.. which can be a fun occupation if that's your kind of thing, especially for those that want to have their little vindication moment after having been skeptical of MSFS 2024. It runs fine for me now though, and from what I can see it's going well for most peeps now. It can only get better from here on. I have to say that this sim to me is the most wonderful thing since sliced bread. I'm more of a low and slow flyer, and I suppose that's when you get most out of this sim. I actually go for hikes in VR as wel.. lol.. it's just really good looking! If you're one of those 'serious' simmers who spend their days staring at a magenta line while the FMC does all the work.. well there are a few options but the best is yet to come/to be converted for MSFS 2024. So you may still be bettre off with MSFS 2020.

I will never accept cloud gaming. I hope they eventually give us the option to locally install whatever data we want. But I will not hold my breath. It was most certainly rushed and needed more time to bake.

I couldn't even start the career mode because when I finally got into FS 2024 it didn't load the 172.

I am also hopeful...not going to think of a refund. I have been doing MSFS since it was all stick-framed images in beautiful 16-colors. But JHeez...MSFS should have known better than this. I expected more of them!

It took me two full days of waiting for the sim to run. Once it did three days after launch...had constant crashing, although I was able to do some missions in my career and I love the graphics quality and smoothness of play...when it was working. Two days ago the sim quit loading altogether. All I get is a QUIT TO DESKTOP option. So...who gives a rat's ass about the quality of the graphics if the sim is by no means a ready-for-prime-time release. I hate it when we are used as beta testers...who have to pay for that priviledge. Nothing but disappointment here!

I pre-ordered, downloaded, installed and played msfs 2024 without ANY issues - I don't get why the whiners are complaining? You sound like high school girls. Sure there are bugs - I challenge you to identify any new product that is perfect when it's released.

I bought the aviator edition and was so excited for 2024, but within a few days, I just got a refund, I will try again a year from now and see if anything has changed but until then I will be on 2020.

Please don’t tell me they are using the 2020 servers for 2024. I have always had issues of performance and that would just make it unbearable, unplayable, I can’t take the state of the sim 4:49 4:53 and all the lies. The only reason I hang in there is because of my passion for aviation

I got to say though, the sim is a masterpiece. Fly the Cessna 152 in Vr and ditch it in the river at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and watch the sun go down. You will never be angry at the developers again.

It's utterly pathetic. So many bugs it will be a year before they get to them all. All the simps on the forums trying to make excuses for Asobo. I got a refund and then I switched to Game Pass for $1 for 14 days after which I will cancel Game Pass. And no, the servers aren't fixed. New reports today of blurry terrain and missing buildings and long load times.

Microsoft are now using fs2020 servers to support fs2024....now 2020 sucks....there is no escape

i just requested refund!!! I ran it on a 7800X3D AND 7900XTX, VR on my Crystal light looked horrible, I could play it but visualy it looked really bad, it ran good but looked crapy and just overall it sucked!!!

@Sergio I am in within 3 to 4 minutes now. And my plane takes about 2 minutes. I am on a glassfiber connection in Amsterdam which is a internet hub so maybe thats why I have good performance. After getting in on launch things looked bad. All because it was not loaded in from the servers. Now at sunday after launch things are looking as advertised. Basicly the streaming part is killing this sim right now. With a good solid internet connection like mine I have no problems. But with a not as solid one youre probably in trouble. Overal I see potential and a lot of bugs that a good beta test period could have digged up and dealed with before launch. I suspect some high level Microsoft management wanted to push the release date before the upcomming Christmas booming sales. And they have now a marketing negative nightmare to deal with. Frustrating a they do listen and have an open ear for the community but now have slipped good and did fall through the ice and suffer dearly from it. It’s so confussing to me. Who is at the end pulling the strings at Asobo / MSFS / Microsoft ???

I have got my refund through , requesting it was a bit of a shock as I had not realised that my internet speed basically makes ownership of this sim pointless, so I now realise how important having xplane as an option is as they seem to be a bit more friendly on the system side of things, plus I'm not going to support a sim that basically is now discriminating to my situation. such a shame...

so glad i got a refund. Sticking with 2020 for the foreseeable. I'll check back in a couple of years to see if the architecture has been changed, because that's what's needed.

The only problem with this show is that it ends, you guys made me laugh and cry. 10/10
