No, no, no. I meant the first big mainstream show like that. LOST was the first big mainstream show to make viewers question things. If you look at the commercials for Flashforward years ago, ABC tried to do the same thing but they utterly failed. There have been numerous shows that have tried to become the next Lost, but have failed to develop the characters first. ABC tried to copy the success of the show in similar marketing strategy. That's all I'm saying.

I was a kid when Lost first came on, so I can't speak from nostalgia on the TV shows that had an overarching mysterious plot, but there was The Fugitive, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, etc. There were lots.

You're right, but LOST was the first TV to make this type of storytelling very mainstream. You're naive if you think ABC wasn't trying to capture the same magic with FlashForward. It was clear to everyone, and the commercials made it very clear. All in all, Flashforward just wasn't a very well made show. And some people say it was better than the book. Which makes me question how the book was.

He didn't know how or when it was going to happen. All he knew was that it was going to be an accident, which meant he couldn't really avoid any specific actions, or know what actions might be likely to lead to her death.

Very sad that Mr. Young took his own life. May he rest in peace and give his family strength throughout this difficult time.

Never seen much of FlashForward. I thought the first few episodes I saw were terrible television trying to copy LOST, but the characters sucked. Nevertheless, Rest in Peace Lee Thompson young. Terrible how life can imitate art. He was a hero to me as a kid on Famous Jett Jackson.
