Hi friend I also made a 24kw 18650 wall Curious what you have set as parameters in the inverter such as Bulk Voltage float Network return Voltage Cut Off
@RodneySolarCircuits Жыл бұрын
main thing is to make sure the inverter is set to the type of chemistry your batteries are. I like 56v to 46v for 14s lithium ion batteries.

hello. they come 3s5p. I just thought they were cool cells, not something i would buy for a powerwall, tho you can. I would buy big batteries, less labor, tho it was fun at the time

I just bought one of these because I really need to stop soldering my packs. I'll be running it with 4 gauge ofc battery side and I'll be running it off a 650 amp constant starting battery. I'm gonna see about changing the welding leads out to 8 gauge ofc. But I'll be stuck using the tips it comes with but I'm sure itll be fine. I'll let you know how it goes!

The thing whith these cheap welders is you can only do a few welds before letting it cool down, repeat. Thats why I use 2 welders in rotation for bigger packs.

I would like to know the failure percentage the failure rate of the spot welders I bought two of them was just under $17 each both were failures they werenew I got a refund.... but I just wanted to know what the failure rate and there are many many different versions of the same spot while they're all over the Internet varying from $8 all the way up to $80 maybe it's just a different mosfets or something but mine had a bad switch I think I don't know it just started firing right off the bat it didn't even give me the beeps and the other one smoked I had 6s 12 volts so I would like to know the people that have had these a lot of people who like them really like them and a lot of people who say they're junk really say they're junk and some people make modifications I would like to know exactly what's going on with these little welders

Instead of prying it open, try cutting through the stickers on both sides with an exacto or similar blade. Then you can hold the battery in a vise and just push it open with no problem. I did a video on this. The ones I have opened have contained mostly LG cells and they are the most difficult to get the cells out due to the amount of adhesive they use. The Sony and Molicells were the easiest to get the cells out.

Thank you! I have been focusing on the crypto market all year. I have a smaller 12 kwh rig for now. I have half of the big packs done. I was hoping to have a big shop built and I guess I have used that as an excuse to wait. I should make an update video for all those that are interested. If I could do it over I would have bought bigger cells like 120ah lithium or 280ah Lifepo4. I have had set backs finding room for all my 18650s (14s 600p) to be in a convenient place to power the house. Good luck with your cells. It has been a great hobby.
