I'd guess no. Remember how Gene and Ron end up fighting using their caster guns. They protected themselves by burning through caster shells as the spells cancelled each other out. If two caster shells were fired in close proximity through a single weapon I think there'd be an undesirable reaction.

Gene killed Hazanko with his 2nd caster shot. The Leyline revived him.

​@@LiquidusSnakeXIt'd be more accurate to say that the second spell ended up reacting with and fighting against one of Hazanko's powerful Tao spells. The reaction was so extreme that it killed Gene, Hazanko, Melfina and Gwen Khan. Everyone was "returned" except Gwen Khan. For him it was like winning the lottery, oddly.

I see your point, though somehow I don't think the Leyline "God" would be willing to give somebody powers that rival their own. Hazanko probably wanted to possess the whole Tempa Empire so that he can exercise his desire for absolute tyranny and oppression. It would have been nice to see Hilda again, but there was no way it wasn't going to be a romantic ending, given how there was something hanging between Gene and Melfina throughout most of the anime version of Outlaw Star.

@@OutlawMantis I mean it does not need to be as powerful as the leyline. Just invulnerability and much more powerful. The leyline says it can bestow all, so it should be near limitless. But then again Gene was apparently using the full power of the leyline in this fight and Hazanko was still a challenge so I don't know. Also it did not need to be romantic with Hilda, just bringing her back would have been pretty cool for the ending. Man I wish this series would get a sequel. A reboot would also be pretty cool, just more Outlaw Star.

Technically Outlaw Star has already been remastered twice. In 2006 when a much cleaner DVD (like the Blu-ray but at standard definition) was released in Japan, and also the Blu-ray, originally released in 2014. It's also been available for purchase on sites such as Amazon in the USA and UK for quite some time.

Your presence is a disservice to the Outlaw Star fanbase if a small link to help grow Outlaw Star's community at the end of the video is too much of an inconvenience to you.

Doing that, you turn the original presentation into a plug for what I assume is your personal venture. Let people enjoy the ending for what it is and not as a lure to a community.

There is no way to add these cards after the video is finished and they don't inconvenience the viewers or cover the woman in the artwork at that time. Of course it's a plug, a plug I have absolutely no shame in adding. It's a plug that has helped lead to an 800-strong community of Outlaw Star fans and projects such as an English scanlation of the manga and the same treatment for the Japanese-only art books, light novel and drama CD episode. Without any plugs, none of these would have happened. They've resulted in the betterment of Outlaw Star's community and the availability of extended material to English fans. But of course, your discomfort (yes, you alone) from a small square in the last fifth or so of the video should have come before any of those. That is your entitlement - something that I advise you to reflect on.
