The fact that the drummer sounds like he only learned how to play 3 days earlier than the recording must have been on purpose.

The healthy Syd Barrett was very creative. He wrote more than 52 songs. Unfortunately he had already taken drugs before his time with Pink Floyd. His second solo album Barrett is better than Pink Floyd albums 2, 3 and 4. The ill Syd Barrett failed as a painter and musician. Nobody knows exactly how Syd lived from 1975 to 2006. The last documentary showed nothing new!!! How long did he battle his drug addiction??? Was he in a psychiatric hospital?? Why did he live in such isolation??? What illness did Syd have??? He painted pictures and then burned them in his garden. His sister Rosemary Breen once said: He had to learn to come to terms with his brain damage!! His neighbor said: He often heard Syd screaming at night. I think he was tormented by his demons!! A sad story. The psychiatric hospital wasn't ready at that point. He was treated with the wrong medication at the beginning. I don't know if he ever found redemption or peace for his soul. A tragedy.

Syd didn't like the original. When slowed down to 16, he was satisfied.

The 1st epic psychedelic experiment in sound was interstellar overdrive and which was is and will be along with Wright the creators of psychedelic music with mind expanding soundscapes with syds thought provoking and magical lyrics other bands like greatful. Dead and Jefferson airplane and Jimi Hendrix along with a few others experimented with psychedelic sounds.but early pink Floyd changed the face of rock and roll forever

Almost like Jesus, called crazy, murdered, turned into a martyr, and used by his tormentors to create a religious institution, delegitimizing his ideals as if everything he created was an unintentional miracle.

✋😲 "That I can prophecy all kind of things" Putting both Syd and Bob together, yes! Study the pic deeply to see Syd's prophetic, seated choice, leaning, connection to the States Double Grammy Winner in 1998. Once you find it, his connection to 1996 will be clear to you, if you dare!

Very subtle and nuanced writing here haha. Right there with Paul Simon's Simple Desultory Philippic in terms of sheer sour grapes jealousy directed at Bob Dylan. Kind pathetic really considering how Syd's life ended up.

Syd Barrett’s “Bob Dylan Blues” (1968) has never been officially released on any LP*. That song is quite open to interpretation‼️ It could be a take on fame, or on popular music, or actually about Bob Dylan❕ May you rest in peace, Roger Keith “Syd” Barrett (1946 - 2006)… 🌹 * Except for “Wouldn’t You Miss Me?”, a.k.a “Opel” (1988).
