Examples of how the best choices for lyrics, word shapes, the right phrase is very much dependent on melody, little idiosyncrasies, and the style of music as surrounding context. (Psychedelic to soul, in this case.) Usually it works, but not always. The singer / 'singer' being true to the setting he finds himself in.

Just weird. Besides the lyrics, it sounds instrumentally like something original. Had me thinking, "now when did I hear this back in the day?".🤣

Artists always influence one another, and this one goes without exception -- Frank Zappa lives on, and in the hearts of every artistic individualist, known and unknown -- and hence, a reflection of culture.☮

This one is so good that it seems sad that it wasn't actually around in 1967, although with that second verse it would never have gotten on to CKLW...

More 1969 than 1964, don't you think? It would've fit in nicely with the Isley's "It's Your Thing", or Edwin Starr's "War"...

Is there a way to do a variant of this song using the style of Faulconer Studios with Mark Morgan's Guitar style, basically like the Funimation English Dragonball Z music. If you listen to the beginning of Money for Nothing by Dire Straights and hear it in such a format, it can be like a DBZ character powering up, which is where this lil potential idea came from.

There is some genuinely good life advice wrapped up in this song. Trouble is unavoidable. Hoping for the best doesn't make you any less of a badass. Being mentally ready to accept challenges as a part of life can count for a lot.
