Loved the card trick with Joel's name on it. And I just rewatched it and worked it out. Lucky you didn't pick someone called Bartholomew, but I guess it can be shortened. Great trick though.

They gave him a "thumbs up" on his magic routine. After asking Alyson to think of a number, she said "3", while he was holding his notepad, he secretly scribbled 24 using special pen attached to his right thumb. If you watch him, you can see some movement as he conceals jotting down the number to prove his "prediction" that Alyson "missed by 21".

I think this performance has made me realise a couple of things, I'm no longer a kid anymore and so I couldn't relate to the first half; And also, I kinda knew what was happening, even before Penn's "thumbs up" code. This might have been a lot more fun, for me, if he first half was written more for adults, and the second half with some less guessable method :(
