Each MSEM GP uses a different city name each month, going in alphabetical order. We use a different city each time for the fun of it.

Custom cards; MSEM is the largest custom non-rotating format out there and we've got 50+ sets from dozens of designers in the format at this point.

Thanks for the game ! Game 1 was really close but i forgot i only had 6 lands so i couldnt cast scratch, then i misstapped off of playing a card i dont remember which... Also vasilisa being at 7 wasnt a problem due to HTTF added damage, but the extra creature meant that i die anyway :( Also love me some surprise kills game 2 :)

Naming masterwork at 19:25 because if discarding masterwork, T3 RFE guarantees untapping my PEmissary on 2 for Jejun (If they don't RFE, I repeat PEmissary on my T3 as a 4/4 against a player who is 1 turn slower from hitting the magical 7 for Coalesce RFE). If they discard RFE, I sac treasure on 2 to play PEmissary as a 4/4 which dodges Bessie's Brood, which is the only fast way to kill PEmissary, allowing turn 4 Jejun. If naming RFE, PEmissary dies to topdeck Bessie's Brood, which forces me to sacrifice PEmissary to make Jejun hit on 4, or wait until 5. I am ok with opponent turn 3 RFE because I am faster. Jejun on 4 or earlier is the only solution vs ramp targets and my best chance of winning. At 21:59, Oriq > PEmissary b/c I need to sacrifice one or the other for turn 4 Jejun. Diversity offers options.

Revolution is a rotating, custom constructed Standard-power-level format comprised of six custom Magic sets. Every 4 months, one set will rotate out at the same time a new set rotates in.

With amulet, could you actually sac treasures ? Since you dont control the treasures, can you pay the cost of "sacrifice this artifact" ? (Dont play msem ftr)

You’re correct. After the stream we discussed it further and my initial ruling was incorrect. 701.17a To sacrifice a permanent, its controller moves it from the battlefield directly to its owner’s graveyard. A player can’t sacrifice something that isn’t a permanent, or something that’s a permanent they don’t control. Sacrificing a permanent doesn’t destroy it, so regeneration or other effects that replace destruction can’t affect this action. You don’t control the treasures so you cannot pay the cost of sacrificing them to activate the ability. Good catch!

In game 2 I didn't get aggressive the turn that you said I should because they just block with their 3/5 falconer and I get nowhere. Also I can kill Nix on their turn if I got channeler because I get up to 9 counters on cradle and then get still-smoke back on my opponent's turn for the 10th and kill at instant speed.
