Go-Karting looks more dangerous than a racecar race, am i right?
@Gean...de...Oliveira
@Gean...de...Oliveira 2 ай бұрын
You're right. It "looks". That's because you're exposed, in a open vehicle. But besides "looking" more dangerous, it's actually much safer. Probably because the vehicles are much lighter and speeds much lower. When you're going 200... 300Kph in a 1.000Kg machine things can get nasty. But 100Kph in a 90Kg Kart it's much safer. 👍

He was using the human drs, meaning his head was down so he couldn’t see, it’s used is many professional races, to go faster, the guys behind and maybe in front probably did the same thing.

@@BDSFormula1 yes, but like it’s a technique ingrained in their professional heads to be faster so I think they wouldn’t think about someone coming out of the pits, also buddy should’ve looked at the track before coming out of the pit.

man you would of been up there with the leaders for sure but your RPMs drop too much on the corners. Different gearing maybe or just need more practice coming out of corners. I think just a little tweaking and you would be right up there.

Kart crash no.2 is the sole reason why every go kart places NEED seatbelts. If a kid were to be in that same crash his spine would have been broken or shattered. Edit: Almost every crash on this video is the reason why we need seatbelts...and WHY do some races have go karts start at full speed right up against each other all together? I dunno I find that a lil bit dumb tbh

Hey man, what if you flip like it happened most of the time? I get what you are saying, I thought the same thing until I actually went karting and realised that not having a seatbelt is not too bad and is definitely better than breaking ur neck!
@Gean...de...Oliveira
@Gean...de...Oliveira 2 ай бұрын
It's karting bro. We don't use seatbelts. For rentals I agree, some tracks have roll bars and belts. After all, it's just some random people having some fun at the mall. But when it comes to racing karts, proper racing karts, it would make things much worse.
@Gean...de...Oliveira
@Gean...de...Oliveira 2 ай бұрын
They don't start full speed. They start in low speed. Some karts have the engine directly connected to the axle. They can't stop. The other reason is because karts, even the ones with a clutch, doesn't have much power on low RPM, so they start in motion. Except for Shifters, but they have standing starts. But there are a lot of rules on how to proceed during starts. Usually crashes happen when someone break the rules.

Interesting. Hmmm. The biggest problem is that even the low-end entry karts are ~$5K. But why? What’s wrong with a kart that is simple with a basic engine, goes 25-30 MPH, costs maybe $1,200, and is a lot of fun? The other problem is finding a track. But it sure looks like fun.

@@Mikelaw709 We need cr125/250 shifter classes and a basic 125cc TAG 1 gear class only and a 80cc TAG for kids and everythings good :) I'm kinda bummed how there isnt such a big scene now in my country as I remember it being in early 2000's. There were shifters on sale, 125cc and 250's with full fairings but now I rarely find one. I have a 1986 CR125 engined 1995 Swiss Hutless Vitess myself that I got in 1999 and never sold it, gonna rebuild the engine and go rip it someday but I have to find a tyre press to change my rubber and replace the crank+rod and piston.
