I have donated blood 8 times saving 24 people. since 21 years old. and I will never stop. I will donate until the end and it's important to donate to save lives keep your health in check because the blood will clean your system and body. Also I wanted to know my blood type just incase I need for emergency. Donating blood is important as blood cannot be man made. I hope more people will donate blood when you can. If you can't at least promote others and people who can. Plasma or whole blood is always a good start and God Bless the people who do donate and promote it. I highly recommend it and we save so many lives. God Bless you all!!!

My reason for donating blood, is, firstly there were many moments when having fallen off my bike as a kid and then a teenager, the NHS picked me up, mended me at no cost. This is my chance to put something back into the system. Last month i gave my 72nd pint of blood. Thats why i give blood.

I gave yesterday for the 96th time, I've been donating for 40 years, hopefully I'll get to my 100th donation by this time next year. 🤞

I donated my 72 nd pint in November, i consider its my choice but also a chance to put something back into the system. I have never received a blood transfusion, but there were many times over the years, since various ambulances came out and scraped me up from a road somewhere and patched me up. So i regard it as my way of paying the NHS back for services rendered. Fascinating to learn a little about what happens afterwards. Miss that hot cup of tea though.

is there a guarantee that EVERYONE'S blood is going to be used? or is there some blood that is going to be wasted? because i don't want to give blood if there is a chance it might not even be used
@RUSH2112RUSH7 күн бұрын
Please don't misunderstand me but I'd rather my blood donation is never used, assuming that that's because it's not needed rather than there be a administration error resulting in a 'wasted' blood donations.

If you guys have no blood, then you guys are about to die, because: Humans can't live without blood. Without blood, the body's organs couldn't get the oxygen and nutrients they need to survive, we couldn't keep warm or cool off, fight infections, or get rid of our own waste products. Without enough blood, we'd weaken and die.

I love donating blood :) It's free for me, helps someone, and even has some health benefits for myself ! Also I do not care about needles and blood, doesn't bother me at all so I can see no reason not to donate. I'm at 4 right now but I aim to make it a habit to donate every 56 days ! *I'm 27 years old

Pitch for a successful advert campaign. 10 ads, 30 seconds each. Each ad is a succession of 6 individuals saying thankyou to camera for the donor who saved the life of their mum, sister, daughter, husband, self... That's it. No flashy flashy, just people thanking blood donors. 60 of them. It would probably cost you (us) one thousand times less and be about the same amount more effective! Sometimes a good idea sells itself.
@picklesthepickleАй бұрын
What makes you think this cost a lot to produce? Everyone featured in the video participated for free, so it was just the videographers involved who had to be paid, and there was only a very small team of them. There's a lot of value in finding out what happens to your donation, people find it very interesting to see what happens behind the scenes and understand where their kindly donated blood goes.

@neko42girl423 ай бұрын
Hold up, are they letting you eat/drink while your donating?! As a former phleb at a plasma donation site that should not be happening. If you choke while hooked up that could be really bad.
@Siliet6603 ай бұрын
When I used to donate plasma they’d let us eat small granola bars and usually would give us Gatorade as well, this would mostly happen when you started to feel off or thought you where going to pass out, but if you ask them for some they would give them to you:)
