That is what i am curious about. Bc idk if the resin i have, if it will melt if ppl. Put ash/lit cigarette in the ash tray and if it will ruin it.

Honestly I made this video before I knew just how bad resin ashtrays can be. They’re great for decor and for only catching ashes. You shouldn’t snub out anything in it as it can heat up the epoxy & release harmful fumes and not to mention ruin your design. I’ve seen people swear by a thermal sealant spray after you pull the piece but I haven’t attempted it.

did you prep the mold with anything before pouring to keep it from sticking inside the mold?

I personally haven’t used a mold release yet with any of my projects, I find if you mix properly and wait the right amount of time you shouldn’t have any problems with silicone molds. Plastic molds are a different story.

That was a waste of glitter. Its on the bottom that you can't see while its sitting on something. How many people pick up an ashtray and flip it around. Sorry but thats just a waste.
