Watching those little Alberts spinning around the record as a teen in 1980, and being blown away by what I was hearing. Still being blown away at age 62.

i'm a drummer, so naturally i looovve Dukes Travels/End. That said, this is the best song on the album.

Yep, 1980. Got detention twice, once for missing school in the morning, to go get the tickets.. and again for skipping out early to go see the show. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Duke was a tuff sell even to a youngster, just wanted to hear “Seconds Out” but sounds good now happy memories.

Never thought about the real life connotation till now but on that last album they cancelled the tour. Cause nobody cried for more. Everyone ends no matter how great. It's just life.

I remember seeing a documentary about Genesis where they made the point that rare among “progressive” bands Genesis actually did progress and evolve. What’s my favorite album/song? ALL OF THEM!!!!

Yes. All of them.😊

Always a highlight of any Genesis concert, but I believe Daryl’s finest solo was from Knebworth in 1978 (his first UK). “The Fountain Of Salmacis”. true to the original solo but with a lot of Stuermer in there too

This is my favorite Genesis song ever. Masterpiece. Love Phil to death but hate the beard. It’s ironic how the lyrics came back to haunt them in 2021 a bit, not knowing when to let it go. Best band ever, but sad ending for Phil. He deserves so much better. Thanks Phil and Genesis for real music!

Just set your sight high, look 'Em right in the eye and take it And make a big big big noise Don't ask why Just take it wise and making it Make that a big, big, big, big noise You can feel it in the air Feel it everywhere There's a spirit moving At just look, it's all around you Just take a look around you people stars to lose it 'Cause if you wanted you gotta go get it Just to listen up if there's something that you need You better believe Better make your play Don't let her thing like right or wrong, get it 'Cause there's nothing to it if you Just if you reach out and do it It'll be okay Just catch yourself a piece of the action Just to listen up if there's something that you need You better believe 'Cause if you wanted you gotta go get it Just to listen up if there's something that you need You better believe Just set your sight high, look 'Em right in the eye and take it And make a big big big noise Don't ask why Just take it wise and making it Make that a big, big, big, big noise

All due credit to Mike Rutherford and Daryl Stuermer who are great, but I would love to hear how Steve Hackett would have approached and "colored" the opening instrumental section.

Saw this tour at Hammersmith Odeon. Bought tickets from a tout, not cheap but well worth it. I was in my early twenties then and it is a great memory to have. Saw them many times since, but this was the best, in my opinion.
