Awww so cool to see two giant parts of my childhood together. ♥️🎄

sorry but it's actually funnier to just listen to Stuart McLean's voice...

It would be so nice to hear the fill shows again, including viewer stories. Maclean was equally good at telling his own and other's stories in a way that you got it. You could relate and be kind in one's way to those in the story, and secretly forgive yourself for your own foibles, too. He was one of my most favorite writers...

I only needed to hear “he was lashed in with a rope” and I could hear and see in my mind the entire story of them riding the car down the hill all over again and the farmer retrieving it when they had left. Man I miss this guy.

Could you put the full story's name in the descriptions of your videos so I know what the snipped segments are from? Also, what's the story of the woman in the kitchen cabinets waiting for Dave to go away so she can come out called? I can't find that one or remember what it's name is.
@EthanKironus8067 Жыл бұрын
The picture shows the full name, that's the case for all of these shorts. Macaulay's Mountain is the story in this case, just look that up. I don't recall the name of the specific story you're referring to, but I know that it's a Mary Turlington-centric one, and there aren't many of those.

Would love to hear the complete programs, including stories submitted by listeners. It was part of the delight of hearing Stuart Mcclean. He was so good at telling both his own and other's stories.

Wish we could hear whole programs that included stories shared by viewers. That added to the cozy feelings of sharing and community. Stuart narrated them so well.

@@EthanKironus8067 Yeah, but buddy's so good, you heard his show, you watched his show, he was something else. Dave got the last laugh in the end, Stuart can't play god and torment him on a day to day basis anymore, lol.

Canada lost a National Treasure the day we all lost Stuart. My heart felt thanks to his family, friends, and those who meant most to him and shared him with the rest of the world. Somehow driving the trans-Canada is a bit more lonely knowing there will be no more new Dave and Morley stories. Thanks for the memories Stu. Keep the Angels laughing.
