I stayed with my family at the Barbary when I was a kid. My dad spent the whole trip at the slots 🎰 while I was up in the room overlooking the Flamingo Hilton and the old Planet Hollywood. My (severely autistic) brother had one of his outbursts and broke our bathroom window, which horrified my dad because he thought it was actual Tiffany glass. Thankfully when he got the bill, we learned that the window was a worthless imitation.

I really enjoyed the Barbary Coast when it was open. There was a day when the hostesses were so distracting I couldn't focus on much else. I think I spent at least $100.00 on tips.

BRILLIANT! Is an ungodly experience. It surrounds guests with every Las Vegas vibe. The best part is the Liberace intro where the piano is illuminated and Liberace introduces himself literally playing piano sign. It's as if Liberace is summoning his spirit from the heavens. Liberace pieces are spread throughout Vegas now Neon Museum is truly a piece of heaven on earth. The once departed; cherished, celebrated and.returned to their glory

Anyone know where I can get the playlist of the songs they played for the Brilliant show? I know they had a spotify qr code at the entrance but forgot to take a pic of it.

It is an incredible experience. I found myself getting very emotional during the show. I walked out with tears streaming down my cheeks. That wonderful world of endless dreams, when men were men and the sky was the limit. That "America" is gone forever. To the creators, well done, well done indeed.

When Nv was the only state with gambling it was a great place to go for non-gamblers. Everything else was cheap or free. Now it's a family theme park and has expensive shows.

1905 was the year Las Vegas was founded as a city but before that according to Wikipedia it was a water refilling stop for the Union Pacific railroad. That is also the year Einstein published his landmark papers and the same year Venice Beach, California was established by Abbot Kinney whose coastal land made money from oil wells to pay for the development.

Great job! Love how much history the LGBTQ+ community has had here in Vegas, especially with our entertainers. I like to think that we did our part to make drag show a bit more mainstream in America. Also, that's an AMAZING shirt. Is that being sold in the gift shop?

Thanks for watching, Allan! The museum store is run by our retail partner Marshall Retail Group. If that specific shirt is not available, there are many others. Feel free to contact them directly at [email protected].

Thank you for the informative production! I can't believe all the years I've been coming to Vegas, mainly to hang out with Liberace before 1987, and at least a couple times a year after, I completely forgot about Kenny Kerr. Thank you for the recognition and support of the gay community and PRIDE month! Hopefully I will be visiting the Neon Museum in September or October! See you all again then! Stay safe and healthy!

Hi. Awesome museum it is on my bucket list. I'm reminded of the history of Las Vegas here bigtime. Heard stories of a sign that would countdown to the flash of atomic bomb tests just miles away. Hope you guys acquired that sign as it is truly one of a kind. Best regards, Martin

Yes, the timing was unfortunate! We were looking forward to this being an in-person event but COVID-19 forced us to present it in video format instead. Someday we hope to have in-person scholar talks and panel discussions soon. The museum has re-opened so it's only a matter of time. Thank you for watching!

thank you so much for this magnificent museum!! I just finished writing my final for a 3d arts class on the Tim Burton exhibition and fell in love with his work as well as the rest of the boneyard. I found myself smiling ear to ear as I watched the other tour video of the outdoor exhibits featuring some of Tim's designs crafted into neon and it was a total joyride! It's been a wonderful time seeing vegas through the eyes of a young Burton and Mitch makes a great tour guide, it made me happy to listen to someone talk about something they really appreciate. Even though people aren't walking around the museum in person, It's cool plenty can still enjoy the color from afar. Thanks for making a rando high schooler's quarantine season just a little bit brighter:) (also you totally sold me on the bones music video and i watched it right after and i can't believe I've lived this long without that masterpiece)
