The only thing that has ever made me feel satisfied in life is a living relationship with Jesus Christ. Everything else left me empty. Straight A's, chasing friendships and relationships, trying to build a business and create art. Nothing gave me real peace until I trusted and knew the love of Jesus. And I still struggle, trying to get things accomplished, but Christ is what make my life worth living.

I also was kinda like that. But, I have come to like the chase. I finally made peace with failure, and I not only love to reach the final product regardless of success but also the process in between. I love the adrenaline rush I vet once in a while. Though, my main goal isn't really success but my passion. I'd be fine even if I made average living in some small town(that would actually be ideal). I honestly don't even care if I die doing what I love even though I'm scared of death. Reaching this stage feels so liberating. I'm flying on cloud nine for some years now.

the connection here is not being 'over'achievers. rory and hermione are more defined by being insecure neurotics. success in school is so narrow and just requires blind obedience that it can't really be called success. the composer, ballet dancer, chess player did actually achieve/ get close to true, creative, original success tho
