I liked what you did here but i believe your space could be even better utilized. You may already know @ScottYu-Jan, his videos and designs just seem impeccable. Great work tho, good luck on your design journey!

great concept and video! i have an idea, maybe hole-puncher with that pattern will be better, since 3d-printed one is not sustainable for regular use? that way you can make pattern maker from paper with a single move and dispose later

dude... please, get a better printer. it's ruining your nice video footage.

nice video... but if you are going to keep doing this DIY print making, invest in a better 3d printer, like prusa. cheapo chinese crappy printer will make your life miserable.

Its great but I think is overthinked... the more simpler the better I think.... for the tape and the sticky notes are too crowded... I would take another aproche to it. But overall I think this is a gret invention

this is probably a long shot, what app are you using on your ipad to draw/cad???
@ichicoroАй бұрын
Also interested!
@CRAFDOАй бұрын
no way! thanks for asking.I use concepts for sketching and shapr3d for the cad. the rotating sketch in the video is actually a composite done in premiere ;)

@@CRAFDO omg so glad you replied, was checking around the App Store to try and find it, thank you definitely downloading on my iPad later today!

I love how it turned out! 😍 So inspiring. Your editing style is really slick too!
Great video! I do notice you have a slight under extrusion on your 3D prints. It's most likely a clog in nozzle (fix by doing a "cold pull" if you have nylon filament it makes it very easy to do) or worse, your extruder set up is slightly off (unlikely for you I think). Pretty much either your PTFE tube is not cut exactly straight (I know from experience because I used to cut it with a box cutter and it was just slightly off). The tube not being cut perfectly makes it where it doesn't have proper contact with the nozzle internally. I had this issue not too long ago and that miscut on the tube allows a gap in the extruder. Simple fix is by 3D printing a PTFE tube/Bowden Tube cutter to have a straight clean cut. If you don't want to do all that, I suggest setting the temperature a bit higher maybe 5-10 degrees and/or increase "flow" rate by 2-5% maybe. Your bed adhesion issue is an easy fix. I always put my bed at 50c-60c but I know in the video you had issues with that so I would recommend using some glue stick which work great for your print to bed adhesion.

One of the best videos I have seen so far for 3d printing! Loved everything about this video. Could you tell me what you did for cutting out that foam material for the tape holder? Like what material and how did you print out the stencil?
@CRAFDO2 ай бұрын
wow, you just made my day thank you so much! i always try to make simple mockups before cad as it helps me visualize the tangible feel. in this project , i began by sketching out a few ideas. then i used illustrator to create rough outlines in different sizes. i printed these and stuck them onto foam board usually like 2-5mm thick. after testing, i went back to illustrator and adjusted some details, exported as dxf, and imported into fusion for the final model. I know it's not that "modern" process, but I personally enjoy it the most. hope this answers your question. feel free to ask if you need any more details, cheers!

Do you mind sharing what monitor you use? The one shown around 2:20, it looks really clean. Love the setup.

Hey Crafdo! I wanna start 3d printing but I'm worried about toxic fumes from the FDM printer, how do you manage your printer in an enclosed space?
@CRAFDO2 ай бұрын
i have a couple of air purifiers running and try to keep the air flowing. if you're really worried about fumes, you might want to check out the enclosed printers like the k1. hope it helps!

Can you upload the smartphone holder stl file on cults3d? I cannot find it. Great videos by the way
@CRAFDO2 ай бұрын
appreciate your interest in the holder. as it was one of my early 3dp projects, the quality of the stl wasn't great for public sharing… but i'm actually interested in creating a version 2 using a more “common charger”, so i might try to make a new one someday…
@DuskDawn-uv3pv2 ай бұрын
Thank you for the answer! I was looking for a temporary solution for the holder that's why I asked. Subbed :)
