Cool looking knife, but a bit confused to how would you use the reverse edge?
@lilbooj88Ай бұрын
Shivworks talks about reverse edge in fighting. Really good for grappling.

I bought the TU2 with gray handle scales today and am absolutely in love with this knife. It feels fantastic in my hands and it looks so damn good. It will be my new EDC knife from now on and I hope it stays forever. I only came across this brand by chance and am still considering buying the Bravo 5 because the quality is simply amazing. Greetings from Germany

Grrrreat… Here’s another one I’m going to be walking by, back and forth all afternoon, and eventually buying at the next Gathering. 😂

I really like my B5, but what I would love is a B5 with a TU2 blade length and purple G10 scales. Make that happen, and you will sell me a second Stroup knife.

I just walked into a frontier justice near me and picked up a Stroup Knives Bravo 5. One thing I noticed is stroup knives stand out. Very pleasing to the eye but mostly, I prefer the bravo 5 blade shape and blade material. Sheath is nice as well. I used some paracord and made a static line for it. I hope this company continues to grow and gets big. Whatever you guys do, do not bow to the tyranny going on in our country.

BART!!! We were just talking about you with Chris! We missed you at The Gathering this year, Man. The wifey interviewed you last year. I did give Chris a chuckle because every time I walked by I’d have to stop, look, and sigh because I couldn’t make up my mind on which one I liked the most. I did get one though! It was the last one so it was a sign. Hope you’re doing well!!!

i just ordered the (mini) from eknives...it hit the mark of what i wanted for the next piece in my collection..i have been kicking around the idea of setting up a mini forge and making knives myself. I already have a grinding and stropping wheel... your story is inspiring , i always had a passion for knives and making and fixing things. iv been in the trades all my life and i have some drawing/ design talent...after watching this video my dream doesnt seem like its something thats out of reach..i spend all my free time playing around with knives so i think now its finally time to start.. thanks!!

Just received my 3rd Stroup blade in the mail last night. I spotted some custom Stroup's from EKnives and a TU2 with green wood scales appeared and I scooped it up immediately. Such a beautiful aesthetic hunk of steel. Can we expect more customs from you in the future?

I would love to see a video on how you heat treat your knives
@ccoop24162 жыл бұрын
I did the same thing not long ago I cut myself on a freshly sharpened it was such a clean cut it closed right up normally this bad of cut would require stitches but I put a bandage on it and it closed right up and healed extremely fast ... this tells me a serrated blade would be best for self defense oh and I dont have one of your knives but I want one bad I just have not been able to afford one lately
@BazonBlades2 жыл бұрын
Fantastic video Chris. What do you recommend for a new maker as far as heat treating in the beginning? When you are making a few blades at a time and can't really afford an oven yet.
@stroupknives2832 жыл бұрын
The first few I did was with fire bricks and a torch. It didn't work well. Then I got a propane from forge and that worked pretty well. They aren't very expensive. I used it for a couple years before I got a heat treat oven.
@BazonBlades2 жыл бұрын
@@stroupknives283, I'm thinking in the same direction of using a cheap propane forge initially. That will restrict me to basic carbon steels at first, but you gotta do what you gotta do. The only other option is to ship blades back and forth to a HT service. That just brings in more cost and hassle. Thanks for the reply brother.

I watched the video produced by Brian at Survive on Purpose and am impressed! As an Army Ranger, we have received knife fighting training from edged weapon experts (Native American and Phillipino Silat). I have one suggestion, since you are in the process of making them - can you put a 90-degree sharp spine, for ferro rods and processing tender?
