Getting solar from the wrong people obviously. There are a lot of good solar companies. It’s just hard to find because it hasn’t been taken over by the electrical companies yet nor do I think they’ll do it because the ROI on solar isn’t quick enough to justify the cost on a industrial scale even though a lot of electrical companies have bought massive solar plots from solar companies to offset their production

Rough pitch, my guy. "Just working, being the boring guy", then rambling is not the way to make a homeowner enthusiastic about working with you. Door knocking is a rough game, but you need to treat that porch like it's your office. You need to have more confidence, and better word pathing. "Would you think it would be a bad idea if we had some other options..." could easily be seen as an out by the H.O., "of course it a bad idea, it wasn't my idea". You can easily make solar out to be a good idea. If the roof has a good pitch, and is facing the right direction, you can talk them up, letting them know that they've got options. I would also state the company that you work for promptly, then you can bring up a neighbor that you're working with. Stay strong brother, doors are tough. You'll get there if you stick with it🙏🙏

I know you bribed that one guy with a Starbucks card to be part of a training video but did you also offer this guy a giftcard? Door to door sales already put people off and if I saw someone approach my door, I turn their sales pitch down, and I see the interaction on KZbin I’m gunna be pissed cause I didn’t say they could use my image in my own home for “training” purposes. I’m just trying to save you a headache later and remind you not to film strangers without out asking, but I’m just some random internet person so it’s whatevs lol! 🤷‍♀️💃🏻✌️

I always ask if they saw the no soliciting sign. If they say no i just say im not interested and shut the door. But when they say "yeah but...." thats when they get cussed out and told to leave my property.

Confidence is important in sales but I disagree with your premise. While it differs from industry to industry, confidence in most sales roles comes from amassing product/industry knowledge, representing a service or product that you is valuable to the consumer, and not being afraid to be shot down. I agree with you. I’m curious tho- how would you explain reps who have all the things you mention but lack confidence? and how would you explain reps who don’t have any of the things you mentioned (except maybe a lack of fear) but act with confidence?

@@TrentonBird this may be a cop out answer but some people just aren’t right for sales roles. Charisma and communication are key and some people will never come across as confident no matter how much they know and how good the product/service they’re selling is

A lot of people don’t realize you can become more confident just by giving yourself permission to be confident. Having a track record definitely helps, but it doesn’t mean much if you never give yourself permission to be confident

@TrentonBird well I'm glad you bypassed my glorious analogy but sure. It's very simple. It's 40-50k worth of debt youre locked into if you sell the house or not. The average person will take more than 10 years to pay that off. Theres interest on it (never a good thing) it negatively effects your debt to income ratio all that just for you to still have to "hooked to the grid" and pay a service fee and particularly in areas with less sunshine the payment is about the same because solar doesn't completely get rid of a power bill. There's soooooo many people that I know that got conned and still have a although small, power bill you thieves frame it as in they are going to be earning off the solar. You ever say to a customer " the power company could be paying you!". Yeah lmao. Sure bud
