My router's google 5 gigabit band is weak and either disappears or turns on very weakly but does not allow connection. Band 2.4 is not a problem. what to do

Thank you thank thank you! Worked in IT for a long time and i find myself pretty capable of figuring stuff out but this crap drove me nuts. i consider myself a bit of a Google fanboy but the reset process is just plain stupid... it should not have been this difficult (and i shouldn't have started drinking before i attempted it lol) . i just wasn't waiting long enough when the orange/yellow light started and kept doing it over and over again until I found your video. Thanks again!

Yes it stays on about 1 minute then dims, there is a button on the bottom you can hit for it to come back on if you want it on. Been a while since I used this camera but if I remember there is a setting in the menu you can set to stay on or go dim.

Yes they have a motion warning if you want so if someone steps in front it will say something to the sort of "You are being recorded".

Do you know why my keypad doesn't have the settings gear, and why it won't hold my SD card. (It shoots it out)

The SD card should go in, you have to use a finger nail to push it till it clicks or it will just spring out. As far as the gear missing not really sure without seeing it. Make sure you hit the little house first to make sure you are on the main page. Some of the older models I think may have had ... on the screen that took you to settings.

And for your battery trouble if you have a 6160, 6160v, v means voice annotation English keypad it will say check then zone number or system low battery and if you have a check then zone number and the sensor cover is closed it can be a sign that the battery is low or the sensor is too far away from the panel

Hi. We are having the constant beeping and a check battery message as you described in a previous video, but can't locate the problem. I think it is a Vista 20? It doesn't say. But we can't find an installer in our local area near Houston, TX. Any idea how to find an installer to come fix it? Yours is the first video that explained that the problem might be one of the sensors and not in the main panel. We have never had a backup battery in the main box panel, just a transformer, and so were mystified that we suddenly started to get check battery notifications after several power outages in our area. I'm not an electrician but we were told we should replace the battery in the box panel in the closet, but there isn't one! Would like to get an installer out, but there doesn't appear to be a local installer anywhere. Help!

Oh sorry if you don't have the battery in the panel, that's the trouble you don't have a backup battery I have to same trouble. I just need to get a back up battery. 12v battery sorry again I was not reading all of it

I can only get Parking Mode to engage when it is unplugged and running off the internal battery that lasts about 3 seconds.

Try holding it down for a few seconds should let you into the menu. If not there is a small pin hole I believe somewhere on the camera that will let you reset it to the factory settings, may just be stuck. It is not the most expensive camera on the market, so some bugs happen.

Glad it helps, it was a very useful body camera, I believe the new models have a better picture quality and also a wifi transfer so you wouldn't need to plug it into a pc or take the sd card out.

Lol it was early in the morning around 8, he walked right up the middle from the spa, did not come all the way up to the terrace since people had already spotted, but as you can see was defiantly in the seating area. Staff handled very well, 4 or 5 suits came out to make sure no one tried to "go pet the cute bear" lol. Had a nice 5-10 minute bear show though. It just climbed over the wall to the left, walked down the hill and across the golf course like it was his house.

Not that I have found or tried. The components are fairly "cheap" if you try to separate the cover from the insides most likely going to damage the cosmetics and make it less "concealed". Did this video a couple of years ago, the newer versions may actually have better batteries, but for the cost most likely the same exact thing from 2 years ago. Depending on your location, for instance if it was on a wall, possible you could fish the power up from the opposite side and try to hide it and just leave it plugged in.

Sorry for the delay, it has to be powered, it has a small power storage for "bump" detection but doesn't last long.

Alarm is not loud from that panel, the panel just goes to the main alarm box, you can get louder sirens but the system is not a "stand alone" system, you would need a Vista20P or similar also.

Not without a monitoring contract, Honeywell stinks about making you pay for the service. I own a security company actually switched my personal home to Ring Alarm. Like 130.00 per year for as many sensors you want, as many cameras as you want for the one price with no interface needed. You can have them monitor it or for like 80.00 per year you can "self" monitor, or for 0.00 per year you can use it "live" but does not save data, only sends you notifications as things happen and you can live view cameras, but no play back.

You have to use the key that comes with your new lock to re key the other locks. If not you can take it to Lowes or somewhere like that and they can re key the lock for you.

I know this video is like a year ago but hoping for some help as I try again to set up my Google Wifi it says connected after connected in google home it says that I need to connect the ethernet cable but I already connect it on the modem still says I need to connect the ethernet cable! It is frustrating to set up this not easy! Hoping for some enlightenment on how to solve this issue. Thanks

Just had the same issue within the past 30 days. If you set up the new router in a different Google “Home” account, it will only recognize it as a new network and require an Ethernet cable. If you link to the “”Home” account that includes other existing Google WiFi devices, it does not require the Ethernet cable and should set it up as an additional nest router. It took me about six hours to figure this out and set up the new nest router. As an FYI, the Google help desk was of NO a help.
