Just to dovetail with my other comment, here is Billy Squire during a live performance where you will see equally cringeworthy moves. His stage presence notwithstanding, it didn't detract from the sizzling bass runs. Great voice, great band, good music in light of the poor stage presence by the lead singer. That being said, if you want to view cringeworthy moves, just go watch some Rolling Stones videos and the moves by Mick Jagger. Odd movements for rockers are common enough that Billy's moves don't exactly make him an outlier. These types of gyrations were nothing new for Billy Squire. If you watch other videos of him playing live without holding a guitar, he did the same type of moves albeit when he was onstage, he wasn't rolling around on the floor like he was here, so the video took things to another level. That being said, I never really liked his stage presence even before having seen the video. Great voice however, and had some good music on his earlier albums.
