Followed Zeitwinkel for years, first lusting after the grey smokey fume 273 - than the blue dial one - 2 years ago saw Albert at watchtime show nyc and the 2. Chose the smokey. Purchased on the spot (waited for mfg). Ordered thru collective horology In the States. My buddy visited with me ordered blue safir 273 on spot. I have an 8 plus inch wrist but flat so prefer tang buckles as some deployants dig into my skin 😢 All these watches are so much better in person all the owners are great guys Merry Christmas and happy New year Albert and Max and Peter Also all the gang at the Limited Edition

I think Lederer is a genius like FP Journe, but why is Lederer less popular? Because FP Journe dial design are actually beautiful. Lederer has what i would consider an amazing engineering, but his dials and finishing are subpar. He need to hire someone proper for that. And Lederer starting price is so much higher also.

I like this symmetry of this movement, but my issue with Czapek is that they are although a “new” brand, they have long history, wish their movement have more classic swiss finishing. And I feel their cases are subpar at their price point. Perhaps when they do everything in-house the quality might improve, I really like that they have many different dial designs with their watches. I like their Antartique cut diamonds, i think that’s a game changer. But they need to work on their finishing of both their movement and their case.

Personally i feel the prize Lederer received in 2021 was Recognition of his work , in 2024 he received chronometry prize indicates the mass Acceptance of his work . Amazing watchmaker and an even amazing watch he created with this triple certified observatory chronometer .
