Pretty cool, but I thought Geese Howard was one of the big bosses. same goes for his (father?) Wolfgang Krauser. KOF still has some of the coolest boss themes. Kinda hard to follow the story too as it seems characters keep switching sides. One game Kyo and Iori are friends and "good guys" the next they're enemies and one of them is evil.

Geese and Krauser (who is Geese’s half brother) are Fatal Fury bosses, not KOF bosses. But Geese is the “father” of KOF, he’s literally the one who created the tournament to begin with. But his version was a one on one tournament that he created back in the Art of Fighting/Fatal Fury timeline, not 3 v 3 like KOF. Kyo and Iori are never really “friends”. But are rivals more so than enemies at this point, although they do start off as enemies. They only team up in KOF ‘97 out of necessity after being urged to by Chizuru, who has one of the “3 sacred treasures” along with Iori and Kyo and they are the only ones who can stop Orochi because of that. In canon they reach Orochi at the end of KOF ‘97 and manage to seal him away, but at the cost of their lives….allegedly. But they manage to survive and both return in KOF 99 as hidden characters. But KOF 97 was the end of the “Orochi Saga” so Kyo is no longer the main character, but instead its K’, who is the new protagonist at that point and his saga is called the “Nests Saga”.

I'm 31 years old. Grew up with gen 1. I'm brown. And I gotta say I don't like how everyone is suddenly brown in gen 8. Not because I hate myself. But because I know when nipponese are sitting around making up a story, someone brown isn't the first thing that pops into their head. It feels disingenuous and politically coerced.
