In Joker 2 Arthur is being accused of 5 murders (despite his mother) but he clearly killed the therapist in this ending scene and this is never mentioned on the second movie! That's just show poorly made the sequel is.

It changes the narrative leaving any reference of this scene out. He mercilessly murdered the psychiatrist at the end of Joker. There's no going back from that, but suddenly he's remorseful by the end of the second movie.

Imagine being Warner Bros and not fully fiancing Joker 1 because you thought it was gonna be a flop, so you co-fiance it with several other studios and once it becomes a billion dollar juggernaut of a film you (Warner Bros) only get a sliver of the box office (only 200 million in profit for them) so you greenlit a Joker 2 where you fully fiance the movie and invest the 200+ million you made from the first movie into the second movie and the second movie completely crasahes and burns at the box office and now you're out of both the movie you made from the first movie and an iconic beloved redention of the Joker lmao

The first movie actually lets Joker triumph and turn into what he is meant to be, while the 2nd chickens out and tries to undo it.

it literally undoes nothing. in canon the joker must be killed in order for there to be another joker. it undid nothing from the first movie except showing how being raped in a prison a day before your last trial appearance can affect someone. arthur is and was the joker. just not that day on the stand

He's basically totally delusional at the end of this film while the sequel has him coming down from the "high" of this when reality starts to set in again (they talk about at the start of the film).

I love how the sequel completly forgets this sequence where he still acts like the Joker in Arkham after sometime Instead in Folle at deux, he regressed back into Arthur Fleck without explanation since they tell you that he was like that since they caught him after he escaped the first Time

I think everything that happened in Joker 2 was just his imagination. Arthur, who feels empty and has no purpose in life gives his joker persona the opportunity to corrupt his imagination. With everything that happened in his imagination, Arthur ended up getting killed which signified that Arthur has totally disappeared and been replaced by the Joker
