I'm taking my dad and wife to NZ this October. A lot of days booked out. Would you say its worth coming back through the area to do it on the back end of our trip?
@DTPicturesNZ
@DTPicturesNZ 2 ай бұрын
I would think it will still be a great experience in October. This is our early Spring months and so it will still have a chill on the glacier but the surrounding snows will have melted by then. However, if the rain turns in, you can easily lose a day just waiting to get out there, and so if time is tight you may be best to save this for Next Time. New Zealand is beautiful…you will want to have a Next Time 😁

Good stuff. I was at that game with my wife. We spent a week and a half in Lyon. Got my picture taken with George Bower and Andy Ellis at the Rugby Park.

Ha, thanks for the dedication! This film was all from footage taken across multiple runs on 4th January 2022, so there'll be no drone to see. I'd probably even try and edit it out even if there was!

Looked like a mint journey! I was up in the mountains when the train pulled into Arthurs Pass station the sound of that V12 locomotive echoing up the Bealey Valley was quite impressive!! Awesome video and editing!!!

Thanks for watching. It was a great trip, and yes, we loved hearing the engine change as she kicked in to pull up the steeper incline….but without missing a beat for a smooth ride.

Hi, this is in Christchurch, New Zealand, where the Canterbury Railway Society run a variety of engines and trains on special running days within the Ferrymead Heritage Park. www.ferrymead.org.nz/ www.canterburyrailwaysociety.org.nz/

A rare event on Ferrymead Railway, surprising considering the age of the rolling stock and the dedicated programmes of maintenance. Thanks Dan for memorialising this! A big shout-out to any passengers who were onboard at the time - you were all so very, very understanding! Actually, quite a bit of excitment and a special treat being pulled in by the TR.

Thanks for your feedback, really glad you enjoy these films. I don't have plans for 2022 as yet, the rate of change in Christchurch has slowed a little in the last year to be able to show much new stuff. But once there is something, I will certainly do another.
