I used to take Jethro Tull for granted back in the late 70's and early 80's. Now I realize Ian Anderson is a Musical Genius!

Saw them in 1976 when I was 16 years old at Shea Stadium in New York for the “Too Old to Rock and Roll Too young to Die tour”. This must be the same tour.

I never got the chance to see Tull in concert but I did have the opportunity to see the incomparable John Glascock on bass when he came to Detroit's Masonic Temple with the Carmen band.

I can dig it - in Chicago all they played growing up was jethro tull - he started on a penny whistle ten years before this...... he has a fish farm and a home studio. Imagine all the stuff he recorded, came out with a new album, its not bad, but its not the 70s so its a bit out of place, couldve been more like this, innovative yet ancient......i dunno

There are only two 20min plus songs that I adore Thick as a brick and Get Ready by Rare Earth. Saw Tull at the 3 Arts in Capetown. What gasss it was. Had a front row seat.

The producer of this video should have given the title "ALTER EGO DE IAN ANDERSON IN THE PARADISE OF EXCELLENT MUSICIANS" because they are just performance images and do not show excellent situations like Barriemore Barlow and Martin Barre detonating in the song and being bigger than the singer and John Glascock and John Evan "carrying" the music. This is the portrait of the band owner? I think no.

Saw JT 3 times in different cities. Ian Anderson was so theatrical & one of the greatest, if not the greatest flutist of all time. Listening now & all the lyrics come back to me, like it was yesterday. Powerful music.

...I don't play any instruments other than the Air Guitar but, what I can do & do it fervently is listen, listen to the most amazing virtuosos of our time. I literally Rock Out! Like Ian Anderson & Jethro Tull and all the rest from the 70s and 80s. Even up til now, 2024. So many great musicians. I can't count the # of awesome concerts I've attended 🎉 🍻 But Tull is one of the best 🎇🙏✌️💞

Still cant understand why they aren't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. 🤔 What more did they need to do? Joke, just like the RHOF. Only took 35 years to get Rush in.

I was there, too! The concert was sublime! Since the statute of limitations has long gone, I made a lot of "opportunities" to make the rent for many months at that concert. So many people were able to enjoy this concert, because I shared the blessings of "herb" with them!

We are about the same age I. Saw Jethro tall at blossom in Ohio. He cracked his head open with his flute never stopped. Turn out it needed. 5 stitches. It was supposed to be his last concert but he kept playing at a guy like that. You know, does not do any drugs. God bless ian anderson and his wonderful band

I saw TAAB BEFORE it was released..in New Orleans Municipal Auditorium. 1972. An incredible show. I would have the great fortune of actually meeting Ian Anderson in the summer of 1995 on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles at a place called .Ben Franks. It's not there anymore..but Ian walked in and no one recognized him..except for me. Was an amazing experience to chat with him.

Another great example of 60-70 abject music videos. Please do not show Martin Barre during guitar leads, show the face of Ian Anderson or a tambourine instead. Makes me sick.
