@aholatom3 ай бұрын
Sukellustietokoneen mukaan 7.2m oli syvin kohta missä kävin. Melko tasaista on. Sukellus-syvyys vaihtelee 5-7m jos ottaa huomioon kivet ja rojut pohjalla. Mun eka kerta tuolla. Toinen monttu on kuulemma ihan nollanäkyvyys.

I was born in Santa Monica which is part of the greater Los Angeles metro area. The year was 1942 and there were several aircraft factories making these radial engine planes for the war here. Grew up hearing those rumbling giants and the sound still thrills me today.

Please let me know how you feel about the keybed? I own a Forte they have the same keybed as fatar tp40L but a lot of people think that the keybed feel of K2700 is different from Forte and PC3A8

I like the keybed. Not too heavy and feels solid. I don't have Forte or PC to compare to.

Attention! As my simple unboxing video got so many views I thought the topic would be worth it's own channel. So I made a new channel where I will focus on synths and other music technology. If that would interest you please go and subscribe to the GrimVox channel (kzbin.info/door/f6dOFDpcwyC04Cs4DziFeA) and find already a new video there comparing the Yamaha DX7 FM sounds with the K2700.

I have to say my only complaint about these Kurzweils are the same rom sounds since the K2000…but I’ve bought some really knockout samples from cdroms back in the day…the piano sounds are not at all that good…no sympathetic string resonance makes them sound dead…I wonder if the 2700 would make me want it…I’ve had 2 2500s one with the kdfx installed at sweetwater …and a 2600 x …again to me they have used the same wave forms for way too many years…and we had to always buy 2 of them back in the day because of running out of polyphony..
@aholatom2 жыл бұрын
Definitely the piano samples in the K2700 are nothing like the ones in earlier models. There is more than 20 years progress from the K2600. Comparisons of the K2700 piano sound to other high-end digital pianos by professional musicians exists and they state that the K2700 is just as good, and it is more about personal taste and preferences which one to choose. Many comments to these reviews state that the K2700 sounds better. My own complaint is that the old K2500 sounds (.k25) are not compatible with the K2700 unlike they claim. Sometimes the K2700 crashes when importing .k25 files and many times they sound totally different. I have some favorite sound in the K2500 that I would have in the K2700 but even after editing an modifying them I can not get them sounding the same. The VAST algorithm in K2700 lacks some of the DSP blocks the K2500 had, and trying to use another will not sound the same. Also, I'm still hoping for software upgrades to fix USB memory stick problems and a way to easily transfer or edit samples and patches from a PC. It is still very buggy and difficult.

Hi, do you find the action graded heavier to the left?
@aholatom2 жыл бұрын
Fortunately not. The Fatar TP-40L should not be graded.
@usernameihavechosen2892 жыл бұрын
@@aholatom "Fortunately" is an apt wording when it comes down to Fatar. Because my TP40L somehow is graded.
@usernameihavechosen2892 жыл бұрын
@@aholatom By the way, if you listen to the mechanical sound of the hammers themselves, is the pitch precisely even across the board? The more to the left, the more lower-pitched thud is happening in mine.
@aholatom2 жыл бұрын
@@usernameihavechosen289 Sorry to hear that yours is graded. Maybe a mistake at the factory? The thud sounds the same across the board on my K2700. I feel the thud sound is more coming from the key hitting the bottom, not from the hammer. But can't be sure without opening it up.
@usernameihavechosen2892 жыл бұрын
@@aholatom Thanks. It's quite a charade since the hammers look all the same, yet the "graded-ness" very much resembles the TP31, with the top two octaves being the lightest.

@@TheCarstarks I got mine from Sweetwater too. Fedex was too lazy to deliver it to my home, they made me go pick it up at a warehouse somewhere. The box was gigantic and it weighed about 100 pounds. I'm not disabled, and it still was a MFing SOB to drag out of my truck and into my house.

Very nice - and good looking studio you've built! How well do you think the TP/40L action will lend itself to synth and organ playing?
@aholatom2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes that was exactly my concern how I get used to the hammer action playing synth and organ. It for sure feels a bit awkward now when I'm new with it. But before I decided to buy I watched demo videos and it seems the skilled players are playing synth and organ really well on the K2700, so I figure I will probably get used to it too, with enough practice. And as a plan-b I can always use my D-50 or DX-7 as a controller for the K2700.

@@aholatom Good to know! How solid do the sliders/knobs feel?
@aholatom2 жыл бұрын
@@towjam2359 The sliders and knobs are wobbly and have a plastic feel. The sliders on the K2500 also were wobbly and plastic but as the knobs were much lower it did not matter. Not a big issue. I'm more concerned about the soft rubber coating of everything and the silicone buttons. That coating tend to wear out or turn to slime in a couple of years.
