Al, based on your experience w/G2 how often are you adding splits, on average? How long are you able to hold a steady smoke temp? 30minutes? 40 minutes? My backyard stick burner (not a G2) has some spikes and burns fast even with firebox management & mods...looking to see how much longer or duration I could achieve w/G2. Good video Al, cheers1
@AlLunacyQing
@AlLunacyQing 9 күн бұрын
I use lump charcoal & 2 wood splits to start with as my coal base. After that I only need to add a split every 30 mins and it holds temp (usually 275) very well. If it's not too windy a split may last 35 to 40 mins . If you want hotter than just keep the firebox door shut. It's an awesome smoker.

i like my onions with the meat too. the onions absorb the juices from the meat and the meat takes on some of the flavor from the onions and it leaves a beautiful fond at the bottom of the pan to create a nice pan sauce for finishing.
