I would prefer Berkshire for schooling and London for the financial markets, but even Cambridge has good schools and a bustling startup scene. I would typically want a large equestrian property with landscaped lawns, a small adventure wilderness, a proper manicured garden, and adequate space for my children to have a tennis court, a soccer field, a small cricket ground, and an indoor pool. I would also want an office and a conservatory for myself. Does Berkshire get more sunshine than Cambridgeshire? I suppose Southend-on-the-Sea, Colchester and Ipswich would translate into long drives from both London and Cambridge, so would have no inherent advantage.
