Except for when he was man of the match against France in Euro 92, and the other times when he put in perfectly decent performances. He was a beast on his day, could have played for any Prem club in that era

Football is a funny old game. Ronny Walwark popped up celebrating behind Tudders after he scored his volley. Walwark never really did much for us but in this game, along with Whelan in midfield, he was immense. I remember watching and again and again he rose above the midfield scrum and kept finding other wednesday players with nice balls into feet and retaining possession. I remember thinking, " I see how this guy was at Man U now". In true Sheffield Wednesday form, he never did it again!

John Sheridan is my favourite Wednesday player ever, a man for whom the term "Wednesday legend" is actually appropriate. Great goal against the enemy, but to be fair, no one even made a tackle from the half way line until he was at the 6 yard box!!
