Hi, i simulated guidewires for training medical interventions like heart operations, which are basically elastic rods. I can send you my written report and the implementation of it in unity if you are interested :) They are unconditionally stable and cheap to compute, so this might solve the issues of your video!

You ever figure this out?? I'm getting close using Playable director. Have pause and restart signals created. Now trying to write scripts that integrate with the PD cased on animation signals + Voice input using Meta's voice SDK.

I opted for an entirely different solution (still not completed), but it will be more capable and user-friendly. The whole game has changed a lot since then

Thanks! And you are right. I tried to reupload it after changing some minor stuff to see if youtube would be ok with it this time. Project Blank is still very much in development, but I won't spoil any details. Devlog will hopefuly be out soon.

Good job and thanks for sharing a bit more detail the others. This whole hinge joints is a difficult things to learn. Looking forward to try the hinge joints with the bones!

Yeah, it's been a while. Sorry for that. Two weeks from now, a new video should be out (not a devlog), and then the next one will be a Project Blank devlog (I had to rework a lot of stuff, so it might be more technical). So don't worry, I will be back soon 😀
