😂😂 I’m gonna call that lack of technique bubba. And the times I punched things I shouldn’t have been punching in the first place my hand only recovered even stronger you lil sissy

I don't disagree but everything comes down to time and energy management in a week. You have certain amout of training sessions in a week in your tank. What could you have done in that time wasting energy that would have worse or better results for you?

People just be coping because they’re usually weak as hell and going to the gym destroys their ego, yes barbells are proven to be the most functional and effective method of strength training. If you can squat 600lbs, most of the “functional” methods of strength training these pencilnecks preach are going to be a walk in the park😂

He is right but just because he is talking about a heavy squat doesn't mean you don't have technique and are all strength, if you have technique and you are strong you are unstoppable.

One of my favourite moments on a KZbin video is when Gordon Ryan is teaching him BJJ and is telling the pro fighter he’s training with to do something but he’s just that strong the guy physically couldn’t move

Agility, cardio and speed would likely overcome the bulk. Mist best heavyweight grapplers are between 200-245lbs and basically same in mma and even boxing 230-260lbs seem to be optimal range

I got in probably 14-15 fights by when I was 18 and I used to break my hands or knuckles every time, combination of really bad form, and still putting power in the shots, and having unconditioned knuckles. My hands are super tough now tho after training for a year and having broken things in my hands how many times. I’m sure the right hit and I’ll still break em tho, I’m not Superman lol

Waiting for the "big doesnt mean you can fight" comment. Correct, he isnt elite right now. In the matter of a year or two he will do damage. Ppl like Brian have a hand up before they even go in! And hes inteligent. Ive bedn in boxing for 11 years and Jiu Jitus for 6 years and it would be terrifying to roll with Shaw in a reak go😂 terrifying. He will ohyscially crush you with a knee on belly or side.

Blue shirt is assuming the individual is a good grappler form the jump, hat is saying that strong people aren’t naturally good at grappling but he’s leaving out the assumption that the 600lb squatter knows what he’s doing. All things being consistent, just the weight of the lift changing, fucking of course the 600lbs squatter is sending him flying. Hat is being disingenuous or doesn’t realize he’s breaking the thought experiment by not keeping all other variables consistent “just because your strong doesn’t make you explosive” dude is in his own world
@kennard6882Күн бұрын
After a curtain point a maximum effort lift driven toward force production will eventually be inconsequential to the bi-lateral nature of the sport...The carry over simply isn't the same. I'd rather have an athlete train for endurance with a body weight equivalent over a singular max effort lift. Volume...
@jasonanderson3776Күн бұрын
Yes, but the 600-pound squat doesn't make me able to change levels and shoot a double leg on someone (ask how I know). Being explosive enough to get under someone trying to defend the takedown and walking over, getting under a bar, and squatting it are very different things.

This debate between power and strength is often extremely silly. Sure, just because you are strong doesn’t automatically make you explosive, but there isn’t a single person in the world who can power clean more than they can deadlift. Power/explosiveness is a function of how quickly you can express your strength. If you are weak you won’t have any power
@NesselPegasusКүн бұрын
Being strong does mean your more explosive not athletic but you can output more force
@Nikolai393Күн бұрын
Being strong doesnt make your technique better, but it certainly helps. I went from 145 to 185 (good weight) in the span of about 2 years. I definitely noticed that the guys that were at my skill level definitely became easier to roll with and higher belts had a harder time submitting me. I also just noticed being able to pull off more explosive movements a lot better.

How did u pack on that much weight? I'm 145 rn and struggling
@Nikolai393Күн бұрын
@_konahrik_ i was struggling for a bit too. You really have to take your bulk seriously. Eating at around a 500 calorie a day surplus, eating around 1 gram or protein to pound of body weight and really focus on weightlifting as your main form of exercise. I felt like I wanted to throw up most days from the amount of food I was eating, but it was worth it.
