If you install them clips on the window knob and door knob all the way. Then you just press the handle on and it's done.

Jeff, I wish I could help, My health has taken a turn for the worse (ALS). the worst part is I can no longer drive. Good luck with your project.

I'm thinking your original carb gasket is wrong. It's for an open plenum intake and yours is divided. The four hole gasket is correct as it seals on the center divider making the dual plane flow correctly. Ehtanol and vapor lock is plaguing me too.

No photos exist of the old fort as i know of, the one we played in was a re-production. and their might be some in the archives in montgomery, search for Vern Scott of talladega, he wrote a lot of the history in the local paper called the Dailyhome, hope this helps

Dave, sure would like to know how all that insulation worked for ya' on the vapor lock situation. Because I noticed the rubber hose coming out of the filter, along with the metal tubing going to carb, which is sitting directly on top of the intake manifold, which gets very hot after you shut engine down.
@wehadkeekid3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the review, I changed all of that, I now run metal line (Insulated) from fuel pump to a Pressure Regulator valve then insulated metal line to the carb. and yes off the manifold, thanks

That's a 136 Chevelle with a big block , you will need to add a frame brace that came on the 138 Super Sport or the frame will stress crack
@jimthomas7773 жыл бұрын
Also check wheel bearings , You do know that the ball joints are welded in and since someone changed the front to disc brakes , maybe they didn't bother welding them ? I have the same size rally rims on my 66 and mine don't rub
@wehadkeekid3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jim, I have gone over this one from front to rear, all systems have been replaced or touched in someway. I don't romp on it, so frame supports are not a big deal at this time, but thanks for the advice

Like the video. I live around the curve and it also runs through my girls. Been fishing there going on 55 years now. Ibe seen about everything on that bridge. Yes theres been 3 people drowned at the big rock the 55 years ive lived there . when I was little there was a store there at the bridge called Rogers stire and a gristmill on the left side of the bam just below the brick building. You were parked in pumpkinville alabama. Ust to be on.the map tell the late 40s. Between talladega creek bridge and dry creek bridge is called the pumpkinville coummiety. My grandma and grandpa's had the largest syrup mill operation in talladega county and raised acres of pumpkins here

I grew up at this station! This was my dad's tire and convenience store in the late 80s and early 90s! The pump tanks were gone but he stayed busy! I was about 7 and built my own "race car" out of 5 gallon buckets, busted tires and a lawnmower steering wheel the neighbor Al Hardee gave to me! He had a wrecker service and junk yard next door. He lived in the little red house you saw just west of the station!

I run a 1" 4 hole spacer plate under my 4 barrel .You can also run a wix metal filter with a built in vapor return port . 3/8" in and out and the vapor port nipple is a little smaller then 5/16" . You run a line with hose or just hose back to a port on the sending unit or tank. You can drill and tap and install a brass port into the part of the fill spout that bends down towards the tank. You can use a wix filter from a 1982 dodge d150 truck like the one i described up top. I use them on my 65 dart and 82 d150 truck .
