I just went through a cdl school , went out with a trainer, now I’m solo. Had to tarp last week and it took me 3 hours+. Great job will be watching this on repeat for some tricks. Great video if u added some voiceover on what ur doing and why ur doing it , it would be fantastic. Great video , thank you!

It took me two hours to secure and tarp 30 pallets of roofing material and two hours to secure and tarp a 37k lbs suicide coil for the first time

When you folded that tarp under in the front did you hook it or just tuck it under
@traditionaltrucking6611 Жыл бұрын
I hooked it. I just try and tuck it and pull on the bungee and tuck it and pull so I can get it as tight as I can. Some loads there is lots of room to tuck it under and pull tight in one go, others you gotta try and cram the tarp under like that a little 👍

do you prefer the eyelets over the D rings?
@traditionaltrucking66112 жыл бұрын
I prefer the eyelets because they make the tarp lighter and roll up tighter, but d rings are usually stronger and more versatile
@bigeleonard2 жыл бұрын
@@traditionaltrucking6611 thanks for the reply,I've never seen anyone with tarps like that.it obviously works well,that with a doubt is the best tarp job I've ever seen.

It's rare I watch a tarping video, But every once in a while I'll check on the youngsters and their skills. Now tarping's one thing, This shows a level of commitment and personal pride which in our industry is sadly being forgotten. Good on ya, 👏 roll safe driver

Your end cap technique is top notch! Very neat. The load being uneven made the driver side a little goofy to deal with but still turned out great! Will definitely be using a lot of these techniques to improve the look and efficiency of my tarp jobs.
