Hola Francisco Soy Roberto de México. Veo que tienes gran experiencia con los frenos de la Spyder. Tengo un problema con mi Spyder F3s 2018. Al frenar en bajada, si frena pero, despues de un momento el pedal se va hasta abajo y activa la alarma BRAKE FAILURE en el tablero y luego el codigo C0042 que, según investigué, se refiere a baja presion en el sistema de frenos. Mi moto trae 90,000 kilometros y en el distribuidor me dijeron que habia que cambiarle el liquido de frenos y purgar el sistema. Para no extenderme mucho te comento que dos meses despues el problema persiste, ya le han cambiado la bomba de frenos dos veces, han purgado el sistema mas de 10 veces de todas las formas imaginables inclusive utilizando bomba de vacío, no hay fugas de liquido y estamos como al principio. Al mantener el pedal oprimido en una bajada o en una intersección, este se va hasta el fondo. Ya les envié este video a los tecnicos del distribuidor aqui en México y me dicen que han hecho todo lo que les marca el manual y no se explican que pasa. Mucho te agradecería un consejo basado en tu experiencia. Saludos Roberto

Francisco! Great video more informative than the others I watched to make this adjustment. None of the others said to rotate the shaft...maybe it is common sense but I struggled for about 30 minutes rewatching their videos bc they were at the top but when I watched yours I went back and was done in 10 minutes. I am trying to send you a video or a picture of my parking brake. I've been trying for a week now to get it to work and it will not work like yours is doing and I cannot ride my bike until I get it fixed I think it has to do with the spring the small one it does not line up with the clicker. Your video doesn't help. It's obvious that the tank comes out toward the right and the master cylinder is on the way. But you moved the camera all over the place so we couldn't see a thing. Next time show the parts and say I had to take of 3 boots ect. And they are located here and there. Some more info would of helped.

sorry the video didnt help you, but is not a professional video so i have no camera man, is just to give a basic idea, i assume that most will have basic mechanical skills to figure out how to pull some bolts out and deal with things that are on the way. . best regards

the couple of things i found difficult was the clearance with the rear brake master cylinder, and had to take "a subframe" that holds the radiator as far as i remember, if i can be of any help let me know best regards

@@charmainereynolds7225 im glad you did, i imagine the rear brake master cylinder was on the was. is just a very little bit on the way, but yes is on the way, i didnt want to take it off so i wouldnt have to bleed the brakes and the abs (VSS) . but ended up doing it. as long as you got it out , what you should do is to apply some undercoating ( BONDO) to protect it , because they rust...best regards

great! just the brake cylinder will be on your way . as long as you are going to take it off, would be a good idea to put some BONDO undercoating to protect from moisture and rust. best regards

buenas tardes , yo mido 1,62 si la moto es bastante alta, le compre un kit para bajarla y no valio la pena solo la bajo 2 centimetros , una perdida de dinero. acostumbrandose uno la puede manejar, pero en realidad siento que en una emergencia seria insegura, la moto perfecta para mi es la kawasaki vulcan

some times you can some other is difficult but will star, and most times is just an annoying message that will also make your bike not run properly ( revs up and down) but in most cases there is nothing wrong with the brake pads or hydraulic system, is just that at one time you pressed the foot pedal to hard and activated the second limit switch who gave the wrong info to the computer, now the computer thinks you have a low pressure in the system.

The bike was imported to El Salvador (special order) because the dealer does not bring it here. the bike came with $2000 worth of aftermarket accessories . I believe the cost of the bike here was $23k

Hello frend My can am wont drift, interrupts acceleration on low rpm when i wont drift… when i acceleration normally the can am is okay and it can goes to max speed, is that the error or something likes Traction control, i instaled new spark plugs and it is the same?

ok what i ended up doing was taking it off from the hinges.once you open it , make sure the rubber gasket around the trunk is not coming off, if it is coming off the door lock travels to far down and gets stuck, it is a good idea to put a washer like i did to prevent it going to far in. good luck

no. una vez activas el segundo switch . lo soltas , pero esperas los 30 segundos para encender el motor, y anted de hacer este procedimiento tambien el switch tiene que haber estado apagado por lo menos 30 segundos, yo desconecte la bateria mientras hacia el desairado de los frenos para que drenara cualquien energia que hubiese en el sistema,. suerte

Hi. I have the brake failure message. To get rid of it I need to do the bleeding first and then the ignition switch park brake procedure? I changed brake pads and after the msg came out on screen. Thanks

yes Alex, if you have the error message, bleed the brakes , starting from the front left, make sure you move /position the caliper so the bleeder is on the very top to make sure all the air bubbles come out, then front right, rear (the rear you dont need to re locate the caliper, and most important make sure you bleed the VSS (vehicle stability system block underneath. then erase the codes . while im bleeding the brakes i disconnect the battery so there is enough time for any power to bleed also, ok so when you are done bleeding the brakes do this. 1- hook up your battery again 2- turn the ignition on (just the pilots not the engine) 3- firmly press the brake pedal until you hear a "click " from the LPS (low pressure system) .NOTE!!! there is 2 clicks the first one is the switch from your brake light and the second is your LPS , so wait until you hear the second click 4- turn the ignition switch OFF 5- wait at least 30 seconds 6-turn ignition switch ON 6- validate fault was cleared and error code should be gone.... if you need any more help please do not hesitate to call me , best luck my friend

did you bleed the VSS ? and reposition the calipers? it is very important. while you bleed the brakes disconnect the battery just to make shure all power is drained

Francisco, thanks for this video. I talked to my dealer about spongy brakes and they said it is normal. Is that your opinion? Do you recommend a service manual for my CanAm Spyder RT 2015? I see below you offered to send someone a service manual.

Hello Richard Good evening, well spongy brakes means there is moisture in the system, the best thing to do is to replace the fluid with new one from a sealed bottle, i already sent the manual to someone abt a year ago. however you can find it on line. mine i had to pay for it and i printed it. it is worth it. another thing i recommend to have is a brake bleeding tool . MIGHTYVAC is a good one, i have a different brand cant remember the brand. it will make your life easier, and you will also be able to use it on you car and other vehicles, ohh here is the one i have look in here www.u-buy.com.tw/en/product/32AUAMU-8milelake-21pcs-handheld-vacuum-pump-set-tester-compatible-for-automotive-with-adapters-brake-bleede it is worth it. most people do not change the brake fluid often just top it when needed, with this tool its so easy i do a complete change every year... . best regards wish you luck . if you have any questions do not hesitate to call me.

@@richardgurbin7059 Hello Richard. well replacing the entire brake fluid is something i do every 6 months myself, but doesnt have to be so often, i do it because once you do it yourself you will realize how easy it is specially if you have the tool i mentioned. (mightyvac) or similar. the brake fluid absorbs so much moisture and makes it spongy. it gives you great satisfaction doing it yourself and will save a lot of money , over there a professional shop is so expensive, here i do it for $30 haha, any ways try doing it yourself , and little by little you will realize how easy to do other things on your bike if you want we can video chat while you do it and ill be there to support you ,we re all bikers and should help each other best regards and blessings

yes i did, i put a new pump , it was a lot of work , mine the part that reads the fuel level, (variable resistor) was fine , if you need it you are welcome to have it. i can have it shipped to mississippi maybe you are close or you can contact my friend there so he can send to you, best regards

Front spark plug on 990 engine can be reached from the right wheel well. You might have to remove the grill for the radiator. Beats removing the air box. Reason why the code appears is when the brake pressure does not reach the certain value before the low pressure switch. You can actually see the pressure reading if you have the BRP program on your computer. Good job!!!

I am short and i ride the bike fine, once we get used to the bike and get in the right position once you get to a stop sign or stop light, however if she starts comming down im sure there will not be a way to stop it, i feel more comfortable ridding my kawasaki vulcan where i can put both feet flat on the ground.... the lower kit they sell for the niken is not worth it, it only lowers it 15mm. but if you get some boots with high soles and also some loose pants makes it easier to rich down. , take care

yes of course , the main thing is to bleed them right , put the front calipers in the right position so the nipple is on the very top so no air bubbles get trapped, and then also bleed the vss (vehicle stability system) that is the most difficult because where it is. and then clearing the code, i did took battery off for few minutes, then plugged back in, turned the ignition on(just pilots) and pressed the brake pedal all the way down until you hear the second "click" release and turn ignition key off for not less than a minute . and when you turn on problem will be gone. if i can help you more please do not hesitate to write will be my pleasure

si tambien pero es un conductor (alambre) que queda prensado en el lado izuierdo de la moto y eventualmente , se pela y hace corto con el chassis , lastimosamente nunca le tome foto a ese proceso,aunque podrian ser otras causas , esta es la mas comun
