Part 2. The reason young people are leaving in droves is because of the internet. It's that they're finally beginning to notice all the hypocrisy in the churches. All the contradictions being pointed out to them in the bible. Having conversations with actual atheists vs straw man atheists that you guys make up to make us look bad. Meanwhile look at all the awesome morals going on behind closed doors in the Vatican, and moving child predators from place to place. It's a joke. Even if there is a God. Religion is just mind poison to teach people not to question authority. You can dig at Evolution by Natural Selection all you want. Even if you somehow disproved it, not that you can, but for the sake of argument let's say there is no Evolution and hell, let's say the earth really is flat. This doesn't get you any closer to proving your deity of choice. Maybe these kids are also seeing all the money in the pockets of pastors who have Mansions and commercial Jets for crying out loud. They get sick of being gay and being told by you guys that it's wrong to be gay meanwhile they find out time after time that most of the preachers who are anti gay just somehow by I don't know some coincidence the pastor winds up being caught with a male prostitute. Why is it that science and morality keep moving forward, meanwhile religion and it's not changing God who actually does change, not actually in the Bible, but how we go about cherry picking the bible does. Even in some of the most fundamental Churches. PS: My goal here is just to shed some light on these reasons. People can't help what they believe. I don't know you guys and maybe you have good intentions. I'm sorry if I'm coming across as a jerk, but boy do I get so sick of hearing time and time again how we need God for morals when the God they're advocating for is more evil than the terrorists we're dealing with now. People are sure going to hate me for this one, even other atheists, but I'm not here to win a popularity contest. Anyway, so many of these religious evangelical types are why people like Donald Trump might even get elected again. Anyone with 1/2 a brain can tell you the man isn't even religious. Have a good one.

There is value to human life. People today are realizing that they don't need the carrot and stick model to get them to be moral. On the topic of morality. People are beginning to understand that even in the some of the poor, filthy, slums in the world, not even just in the US. Places where crime is at a much higher percentage. It's still heaven compared to some of the nicer things that God/Yahweh commands throughout the course of the Bible. You can look throughout history at all the worlds most famous, most ambitious psychopaths, and even combined they would be embarrassed. There's not a single human being on earth that has even came close to the pure evil deeds of this God. There's simply no contest. He put the fruit there full well knowing what Adam and Eve were going to do, not that this idea of talking snakes and the garden of Eden story holds up by any stretch of the imagination, but even if it were the case, the fault lies with God. He put the tree there and set the trap. He needed it to happen so that the rest of the book would follow his "Ultimate Plan" Ultimate plan of killing the first born sons of Egypt by hardening the heart of Pharaoh just so he could show off his power. Even if the Bible were true I wouldn't want to worship such a Tyrant which is too nice of a name for your petty, small minded, homophobic, racist, sexist, monster God. Might doesn't mean right. Let me just give you a few things off the top of my head that make my skin crawl when I think of God. 1. Child slavery, really any kind of slavery, but child slavery, and by the way girls cost less than boys, not that it even matters in big picture, but Slavery is a okay, while 2. Picking up sticks on weekends is a death sentence. 3. The book of Job. which I hated even as a Christian and helped me see my way out of the religion. So anyway God brags that Job worships him to Satan. Now wait just a minute here. Before we even finish with the Job reason, first we have to get this concept of worshiping a God out of the way. So this Idea of worship in the sense of a God. Why would a God be so insecure that he needs worship. If you had the power to "Poof" something or in this case living breathing life into existence, would you want these flesh and blood people to worship you? I hope not because if yes then you're morally bankrupt, but if God demands worship you better do it. It's beyond morbid. Back to Job though because this right here just takes the cake. Why would a loving God do, or let anyone else do F**ked up things to poor Job here? Let's Satan here have Jobs kids, KIDS!!! MURDERED all for a bet. Even if it didn't even happen, which I would be willing to bet my life that it didn't, but even if it didn't. How is the book of Job moral. Quick answer. It's not. At all. I won't even go into all the rest of it, and giving him a new family doesn't bring back the old, oh but that's right it's a more beautiful wife. LOL. That's just too moral.

oh ... i thought this was going to be about combatting science misinformation, not pushing conspiracy theories that have no basis in truth. "garden of eden" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 i guess religions really have embraced "post-truth" whatever that is, but its not truth😂

So - who has watched the Amazon Prime documentary: Bad Faith? It may turn out, quite revealing for contemporary times. Also - has Jesus said anything, particularly, about Gaza? As I am a bit curious, about that.

Great message! LOVE the application at the end of this message. I don't think I've ever really noticed how search engines on the Internet will lowercase God. As a result of this sermon I am now more attentive to making sure I capitalize God when conducting searches on the Internet. Very practical application to show honor and glory to God!

Just saw this, Jason. Nicely done. It is so encouraging to share the Word of the Lord! The message I heard this morning was to “stay the course” no matter what happens now or in the future. I believe it is the same as Daniel portrayed in his obedience to remain faithful to the One True God, even and especially in the face of certain death by the enemy. God IS faithful. This world is not our home!
