I come and watch their videos every few months. They are so full of colour and joy you can’t help but have a lifted spirit after watching them. We pray for your nation. May God have his hand on and bring you through as he did when he brought you out of Egypt.

What the young Lady with the canary finch tailfeathers in her hair is singing is ivrit, the 1948-version of hebrew. David Ben Gurion would be proud of her singing that in ivrit instead of singing in Yiddish or Ladino what were the usual languages for singing jews before may 1948 for songs which were not prayers. Sure David Grün would have loved them and he would even have encouraged them to translate the english parts into ivrit too. Although having lived in the USA too, he always found it's a pity to meet fully americanized jews. "Mayn Yankele du bischd jo fellik amerikanisirt worn!" ( in english: My dear little Yankee, you have been completely americanized! ) 😅

P.S.: BTW, if you are able to talk Yiddish and Ladino alike you can surely find everywhere jews who understand you in nearly all 5 continents on the globe. Well, I'm not 100 % sure for Australia, NZ and the islands in the pacific, but I wouldn't be too astonished to meet someone on Hawaï, Tahiti, Bora Bora or Futuna who understands either Yiddish or Ladino ... 😊
