I saw West Side Story on television with Natalie Wood. I was a little girl. My sister and I enjoyed watching it immensely. I would love to watch it again someday.

I'll be 70 in 3 months, and my parents got me hooked on Ray Conniff during the Christmas season while growing up in the 60s. I, in turn, did the same to my 3 kids, and now my grandkids know about Ray Conniff. Beautiful memories.

This is my favourite Christmas album. My parents had the vinyl version brought back from the US and it was the only non-German Christmas album we had in the house and so we played it all the time around Christmas on the record player in the living room. I still listen to this album every Christmas, because it just wouldn't be Christmas without the Ray Conniff Singers.

Gino Vannelli. What can I say? He has had more of an effect on me musically/mystically than anyone else, even J.S. Bach. Gino's music is a perfect blend of BEAUTY AND POWER. And he is an poet. His lyrics tell the story of the struggles of a man's life in these confusing times. Gino Vannelli, in my opinion is the greates musical force of the last 75 years or so. His albums: Power People, Storm At Sunup, Gist of the Gemini, and Brother To Brother all all masterpiece classics. But all of his albums are gems. When I leave this world, Gino Vannelli's music will be one of the things I will miss the most.

I’m 35 years old now, but every time I hear this album, I’m transported back to the 90s when my dad would play it during the holidays. It became a family tradition-one of those small but meaningful rituals that made Christmas so special. This year, December 2024, will be our first Christmas without him. Dad, I love you. Thank you for the memories, the music, and the love that made our holidays unforgettable. You’ll always be in my heart.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS - I've been looking for it for quite awhile. Back in 1992, the great drag legend, Lypsinka (aka John Epperson), performed the finale of this ("It Takes Love") for the finale of his/her wonderful Off Broadway show called LYPSINKA! A DAY IN THE LIFE. I am attaching the link to that performance, it's truly astonishing (the humor - and the incredible physical performances). kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2Knf2iHr8aCr7ssi=aUNUu8XTrhMu12T9 For anyone who would like to see more of the brilliant and inspired Lypsinka, there is lots of video here: www.youtube.com/@TheLypsinka1

At the 0:08 - 0:12 second mark, I hear, "Baby I'm For Real" by The Originals from 1969. It's one of the things I love about musik. There are always some similarities in the tone if we can just feel the warmth of the melodies and let it relax the mind. I love these orchestras and the beautiful picturesque images they paint in the mind.🎵👍🏾❤🎶

So emotional for me to listen this amazing Christmas music by Ray Conniff , I use to listen from my neighbors house Bc my mother couldn’t afford to buy a simple radio or she didn’t pay much attention to listen but only her desire to bring food to our table. Stills my childhood was so amazing and happy bc I dream of Jesus, st Clause. Lol. I’m my innocence of kid.
