Excellent work. This year I'm going to Thailand and I also want to visit Raja Ampat. Can you tell me how much it costs on average for a day to dive?

I haven't dived (dove?) is almost 2 years because life always gets in the way but damn, this video is giving me the itch so bad! Indoensia is such a wonderful place, both above and under water.

I love the content. This is such a well put together video. You have got serious skills. Love the B roll. Video editing and production skills are something I would love to ramp up on if you could recommend any videos or have published your own. Jupiter is a wonderful place to dive with these awesome creatures. But you're right it is NOT for everyone. As you said, "you have to have your shit together." Bad divers make shark diving more dangerous than it needs to be. People need to make sure they are comfortable drift diving, maintaining bouyancy, and have developed excellent situational awareness underwater. If they're not an excellent diver, then they should take a snorkel trip.

Just stumbled upon your channel, and love the content - but I have to ask... All of these trips, and you haven't had a single visit to Palau yet? My immediate reaction when you said Raja Ampat was the best diving in the world was "Nah, maybe 2nd though?!" How have you managed to skip Palau all these years?
@DiveHardАй бұрын
Palau is of course awesome! I’ve been diving for a long time but only started making these trip reports in the last few years. I guess it’s time to go back 🤙🏽

I'm using a trifecta of Nautilus Lifeline (NextGen), Garmin Inreach Mini 2 and also ACR Resqlink View RLS (PLB-435). This probably cover all possible emergency protocols out there
@DiveHardАй бұрын
That is definitely an awesome trifecta. I like the idea of adding a resqlink… do you have a housing for it or does it just stay on the boat in your grab bag? Cant tell if there is a dive housing for it

It reminds me the two cases of the Caledonian Sky and Aqua Blu cruise ships that foolishly damaged the corals reef in Raja Ampat. How can such luxurious ships not have navigation tools to measure the depth of the sea
@DiveHard2 ай бұрын
It’s very often the fanciest, newest boats that run aground. May be inexperience combined with a bit of hubris. Those stories are always infuriating to hear about. I get upset when I see a fin break the tiniest piece of coral

Another amazing video, great footage and great editing. We spent our holidays three times in Raja Ampat now and will go again next year, Dampier Strait and then liveaboard to Ternate. Looking forward to the great divesites and I am happy to see the reefs still in a great condition. Let us hope that it stays like this for a very long time. A place you want go back again and again..

Loved it x 2. Really enjoyed your take on Raja Ampat (leaving Sept. 27th - I'm going to Ambon for 1 week followed by 10 days on liveaboard in Raja Ampat). So it was a pleasure to have a little foresight. The second reason I loved it was the time, money, effort and energy you put into the production of your video quality. All first rate across the board-IMHO, which I highly value.
@DiveHard2 ай бұрын
Thank you for that! 🙏🏽 videos always made with love (and lots of money time and energy 😆). You will have an amazing time. Ambon is phenomenal muck diving, and Raja liveaboard will deliver everything else. Best of luck 🤙🏽

So if you care so much for the reefs and the beauty, why on earth do you cruise around in fast motorboats? Dont you know how disturbant it is to the marinelife? Just a few years with the noise from motorboats reduce the life with up to 60 percent. A sailboat would do, you dont need to stress around. And the marinelife wont be stressed too. Idiots..
