Holy shit. No pick? If ypu wanna get the sound then play with a pick. Then keep it on down strokes. Why does every bass student think that you can play these songs with fingers. Its OK though because every bass student thinks its OK to play ACDC with fingers too. Youcan miss a lot of nuances with fingers. I mean there is a little part of Love on the Rocks where you can use a pick to emphasize the "the". You can add an "A" between She's My Shot. Use up strokes on those. Picks seem scary on bass. Yeah. You have to hold them different than on guitar. Point the tip 40 degrees tword the nut and use thicker picls. Never try to alternate pick on bass like on guitar. IfI liked to be seen I should make a pick bass video. But there is no way you can use a pick like you do with guitar. You really need at least a 1.14mm pick and 3.0 is not out of the question. But it needs to slide over the strings and catch the upstrokes. You can use the pick to kill the ring of the strings too. Think God of Thunder live and Gene Simmons. He kills the E ring with the pick. Honestly its harder than finger picking. It is not easy but it opens up different sounds like palm muting
