Man. I am a tad sad the guy didn't pick Metatron from Dogma for the "comedy" role. Either way this series is fantastic. I really hope the next one is Gary Oldman.
@splinteredstudios2 ай бұрын
Metatron was originally in it (instead of sheriff) but with the composition of the extreme close up you could not see his wings, which made it look more like a painting of Rickman and not the character (if that makes any seance lol) .. Next will be female

Love, love love! As always I love to watch your creative process. I was really surprised you had never seen Quigley Down Under. I love that film and it's one that Alan Rickman kind of stole the film with his crazy evil character. Of course Robin Hood is one of my absolute favorites because Rickman"s Sheriff of Nottingham was the star of the film! Love seeing these 4x4s!

@@splinteredstudios Nice to hear. I guess any light grey mats can stay clean for long hehe I bought one from a different brand recently who got marked, stained and even got its surface peeling of within 3 months. My previous one (same price) didn't even get like that wear during its 3 years of uses so now I'm wondering if I spend a bit more for the Arteza or not..Is it easily stained with paints or glues if you ever tried some on it?

I have never been one for One Piece, then again it is hard for me to get into most animes. But when I saw you had painted this I had completely forgot they did the live action because at first I thought this was one of your mash ups. Like maybe a celebrity crossed with One Piece. That all being said it came out great and I really like the new paints. Espscially since you said Studio Ghibli uses it. You can totally see the matted colors of their movies in your painting. Keep up the good work man!
@splinteredstudios8 ай бұрын
I was thinking mashing up the straw hat with other properties but not fully sure it would come across to everyone. 'why the hell is indy wearing that' lol Ghibli actually use a paint called Nicker poster color which you can't get in the west but its roughly a faster drying gouache As always, cheers of your support brother
@spicymchaggiss8 ай бұрын
Ahhh, love it. Fantastic work my friend. The anime is definitely a commitment but it's so worth it. I liked the live action, but there were things I wasn't 100% behind. If you reAlly want to get a good feel for one piece check out the marine Ford arc, in my opinion it's the best arc of the series.
@splinteredstudios8 ай бұрын
Hey buddy, yeah I have tried so many times to get caught up but as you say it's a life style lol ... I'll give the Marine Ford arc a shot, cheers for the guidance. I think what I loved about the live action is I finally had a 'in' that was not overwhelming and I really enjoyed it and can't wait for more! What were the big things that's that did not work for you?
@spicymchaggiss8 ай бұрын
@@splinteredstudios the intro to usopp with the black cat pirates in my opinion was a little weak. But overall I really did enjoy the series. Seeing something that I love so much in live action and done well was pretty awesome.

This is fun!! 😁 awesome job..and the Barbie movie was silly and maybe biased to a particular perspective for the story but I definitely wouldn't call it "very sexist". Ken had an emotional arc too! And the whole message was like...maybe one side shouldn't have all the power either way 😁
