Thats why people make all the different maps for the map changer so you could have one for really fast and one for more trails. I don’t own one yet so I wouldn’t really know but thats what I have seen

Had the same issues with my 2023 model.Put a throttle tamer on to help with the touchy issue and then a Rekluse 4.0 which turned it into the bike i wanted.Went from stalling and/or flame outs constantly on the single tracks to,um,how often now?Never.But $2500.Ouch!!!

I'm intending to do a ride review, but I keep forgetting to take my Gopro. I've ridden it 3 times and I'm enjoying it more each time. It's a definite improvement over my 2018 WR250F (which was a great bike).

yeah nice, looking forward to the ride review! been off the bikes for a couple of years now and looking at getting back into it again now, but only ever owned 2t's but looking for a change this time round...

@@MynameisGeoff82 they've all improved a lot. The 2T's are cheaper to rebuild, a little lighter and have good torque, but the 250 4T's have come a long way. A 250 4T will never be a 5th gear wheelie power house, but they're just so rapid. When the guys on the big bores are getting tired and the bike is steering them, the little 250 just keeps carving through the corners in singletrack like a scalpel. The only placed the 250 is at a disadvantage is in transport sections where the bigger bikes are happy to cruise at above 100 kmh. The 250 will do it, but it's revving hard at highway speed. I hate transport sections anyway and everywhere else, I'm MUCH faster on the 250. It also uses heaps less fuel than the 2T's and big bores, so the fuel stops are never a problem for me as my riding buddies always need to fuel up before I do. I like to get a different class of bike each time, but I stayed with a 250F this time because they're just so fast in singletrack so much fun.

Good question and that's a whole topic in itself which would be controversial. I only use torque wrenches on fork triple clamp pinch bolts or engine assembly, and only when I've run a tap through the threads and applied appropriate lubricant. For everything else, I trust an experienced wrist and high quality tools (most of my tools are Snap-On).

You might have noticed that I apply an anti seize compound to every fastener. If something vibrates loose, from that point on, I'll clean or replace the fastener and apply a thread locker like Loctite. I've learnt which fasteners are prone to vibrating loose and there's a few which I'll Loctite first time. There's plenty of fasteners on a bike which are under constant spring tension and are unlikely to come loose, like fork and axle pinch bolts. I also learnt the hard way to always replace KTM 4 stroke front sprocket bolts and dome washers with new genuine KTM ones when replacing the front sprocket as they will snap off (inside the sprocket drive shaft) usually at or the night before a big race...

That's because the factory only want the bearings to survive the warranty period. They make more money from spare parts. But, thanks for your input.

It came with the off road kit that came with the bike.

Thanks James. I dug a 400mm deep hole and compacted 100mm of rubble under 100mm of reinforced concrete. My mate is the concreter. He put extra reinforcement steel across the corners. I put two conduit pipes under the concrete and put a power point in the pit. The second is a spare in case I ever want to run compressed air or another power point into the pit. It took a bit of planning, but was easy to do and works great.

Did you pour concrete for the walls of the pit or use bricks? I have built pits for truck workshops but seeing yours in a domestic set up was a first. Look forward to any future video’s Cheers

@@jamesbaber3775 he poured the floor in the pit and let it set for a while, then boarded up the sides and poured them with the rest of the shed floor. The pit is only 200mm deep. The hoist has adjustable feet, so I was able to fine-tune it to get it perfectly level and in line with the floor. I left a decent gap between the edges of the hoist table and the sides of the pit so it would be safe and not be a guillotine for toes or kids hands. Then I covered the whole floor with rubber gym mat and left no gap so it looks neat. Unfortunately, the gym mat is not chemical resistant, but it's comfortable under foot, prevents damage to dropped tools or parts and each tile is easily replaceable.

i have a 22 wr250f also and the suspension is a bit to hard

@@stanimirgg6044 g'day mate, I finally got to ride mine this last weekend, and I like it a lot. I found the suspension to be perfect for me, but that's a very personal thing. Have you tried adjusting the clickers? The KYB suspension responds well to minor adjustments. Try two clicks softer on the compression adjusters and see how that feels.

Yes, I installed the Yamaha hard hitting and smooth maps from the Yamaha Australia website. I'll test them both using the handle bar map switch. I still haven't ridden it yet as the weather is still too hot here.

Was this the YZ250F maps you used i cant find any maps for the 22WR 😣
