@@bmac3394 yes that is Howard's Griffin. Very few individuals have a commercial craft that big. It flys well and is amazingly quiet

@@weaselrjw Bill Lewis showed me some video of that machine on ice. I am going to build another of my designs. I have lots of parts. Lots of thrust fans. Just have build the hull. Too bad Mario couldn't get his SH-2 going. What a monsterous machine!

Thinking about building this hovercraft. Where did you get the prop and mounting hub from?

The link for the prop is in the links below. It came from BC Canada GSC propellers. I had the hub machined locally at a shop. However, because it was not made totally by the plans, it needs a duct close around the prop or use a multiblade fan. Interestingly I just made a prototype fan of my design in wood that I was considering to add for a separate lift fan in the front. It is 6 blades and 22" diameter. I mounted it on my existing drive shaft and was very inpressed with the thrust. I will post a video tomorrow of how this was made - watch for it Hovercraft lift fan DIY. Really watch your craft weight as you build and build as the plans unless your willing to experiment.

Yes, I know. About 18 years ago, I built a 12T4, but I sold it some time ago. I was thinking about building this one now, but UH is no longer around. That’s who I got my other prop from back then. Thank you for the reply.
