I can’t find that bottle anywhere? Do y’all know where it is being sold online.

I don’t see the point of this bottle because they already have 2 other bottles that are 100% well water so I don’t see how this is different.

You guys are correct in regards to when it comes to teaching people which tequila to drink . Only the few of us were paying attention of what they were saying about Additive Free ,because you still go to the liquor stores and you see people buying the Don Julio bottles and Casa Amigos in large quantities. People don’t really care what’s in it as long as is Tequila and they have a good time with it.

Trying this out rn now and I said the same thing to myself. It has a very complex taste and the nose to me is very agave forward which I love. Comparing it to the Plata I noticed the Plata is sweeter and more floral agave in taste, while the nose is more mellowed out and has floral and cirtus in the aroma. Siempre is killing it and to know it's addative free makes me feel great knowing I am trying the true essence of the Tequila. Funny enough tho I prefer the regular Siempre over the Supremo.

I looked up this vid because I have a little hideaway in the Woodlands near Houston TX, where on the turnoff to literal BMFE road, I can get this amazing elixer for 11.65$ much cheaper than the avg.

I am a newbie learning more about agave, tequila, and the culture of the Bajio region. My partner and I moved to a rural area outside Penjamo, GTO near Hacienda Corralejo four years ago to help the family. We planted two crops of agave over the last two years on some land we own. We grow corn and milo too. We were disappointed to see the price for the agave tank, but we are hopeful it will rebound in 5-6 years. I am creating a website to promote agave/tequila to help increase demand and improve the lives of our neighbors who have invested in agave. I will concentrate on sharing what I have learned about living in the Bajio including topics about the food, barware, travel destinations in the region, and tequila. How can you talk about the Bajio without talking about tequila? You have made my job easier by helping me understand the importance of finding my niche within the industry. You did a good job clarifying the no-additive "movement" and highlighting the importance of getting past the marketing hype of celebrities, influencers, and multinational corporations with millions of dollars to promote whatever brand. I look forward to reviewing more information from Tequila Aficionado as I continue the adventure. I was happy to see a Youngstown boy on the team.... I am originally from Niles, OH. Gracias.

Hey guys, I am a newcomer to REAL Tequila. Yes friends, I used to think Casamigos and 818 was the bomb. (head held in shame). I am now a HUGE fan of agave without all the additives. I think you guys completely NAIL just how great this blanco is!! I also love the none-High Def/ old school analogue vibe as I get the vibe of sandalwood incense in the background and Jimi Hendrix or Miles Davis on the stereo. Peace, love and namaste.

For those who don’t know, Mike was the first person to bring attention to vinazas. Back then, you could smell it in the creek that runs through the town of Tequila. His article pushed the industry to clean up their act. Patron has a great treatment program and will even treat the waste of other producers. However, the CRT is trying to make every producer do the same. The issue is that most of them do not have the space to do so and if they do, the aromas of the waste will taint the fermentation. Also, this is a country wide issue and not just one relating to the tequila industry. I’ve seen plenty of other producers just dump it in the stream next to them or down the hillside.

Thanks Khrys! The photos you shared with me some years ago showing children walking on a bridge over a stream full of vinazas is still etched in my brain.

Good points y’all. However, no laws were broken by G&S with their micro production of agave distillates. Nor did they ever claim to be making “tequila”.

Great show! Definitely an eye opener. I’ve been feeling the same way with the additive free movement and sometimes feel the pressure of that movement when I post my videos with tequila that isn’t “confirmed” because I’m thinking someone is going to come for me and talk smack 😅 I’ve said before that it doesn’t matter to me whether it’s additive free or not, if I like it I will drink it. But what was an eye opener for me was that I realized I’m not always educated on what the brand is doing to give back or be socially responsible to their community and environment. I think that is way more important than the product having additives. I will definitely be more aware on that.

I will ask the folks at Hacienda Corralejo what they are doing with their wastewater. They have plenty of land around their distillery to expand if needed.

I wish more distilleries would do this with their blancos. I believe it can be in something for up to 30 days and still called a blanco. I feel it just goes outside the box a bit and we can enjoy it’s uniqueness
@mrpricklypear224 ай бұрын
There are a few brands that utilize this technique. And actually it can be rested in oak for 59 days (2 months) before it enters the repo stage. Unfortunately, I can't recall any quality brands to reccomend.
