I recently did up my old winch which wasn't working, just solenoid clicking. Thinking it was just and earth issue I cleaned and painted it up and it looked great. It still didn't work. I took off the motor casing and found there was continuity between the armature and the gound. Absolutely useless! So as I cannot get a new armature so it's scrap. I don't think it can be repaired now.

This is the best video ever of someone explaining how to install something on your truck. I hate watching videos of someone recording themselves for 20+ min and they never go straight to the point. This video shows step by step what to do in less than 10 min. Imagine you have your hands full of grease. You are trying to do something, all you need is a direct instruction on what to do to complete the task. Thanks.

going to the junkyard tomorrow, i have 3 Jeeps a wagoneer, jeep j10 gladiator, and a 98 5,9 limited... the jy had a 5.9 limited with an arb bumper on iit.. i hope its still on it tomorrow when i go... jeep has been there for 11 days.. so well see... jy only wants 80$ for bumpers too.. that would be a huge score considering new theyre like 1000$ and i need a new bumper after hitting a deer, and a 5.9 grill too... so i hope all the parts are still on it, ging to be really bummed out if not

Motor mounts on a 4.0 that's not even a thing ...try motor mounts on a 5.7 commander or wk1 Grand ...LoL...not only do they not come out from the top they don't have a nice steel oil pan like the 4.0 to easily lift the motor from . 4.0 motor mounts are an hour job to swap in poly mounts hell it was less time doing the full Brown Dog plates on my 4.0 XJ crawler than it took to do just the mounts on my daily XK 5.7 ... Chrysler really does like to pack it in tight under the hood of their V8 jeeps .

How can I tell between Dana 50 and 60? I found a 2001 f250 with a good deal but idk if it’s a 60? Also why is the 2005+ axle better than the older models?

Any recommendation on a over hauling of front and rear suspension and steering compartments for a stock zj that’s staying stock as far as usage maybe at the most some pucks fr a little bit more height, v8 if that means anything as far as parts which I don’t think matters unless it’s steering parts?

I thought the drive pins were a one time use? They have ridges that help lock the pins in place once driven in if you want to reuse them you need to back them out and not drive them through

Just had a blow out. Jacked it up but it would not come down. Not happy it. Very angry. First time use. Brand new and it does not. My opinion Hy Lift jacks suck. I should not need to buy a kit and replace stuff before using it. No rust no damage no paint scratch no dirt.

I just found your channel, I too recently received a Warn 8274 winch, free which I intend to rebuild and upgrade with an Albright Controller. I like your presentation, clear, understandable and moves at a good pace. Couldn’t help but see the USMC flag on your wall in the video where you rebuild a 8274; Semper Fi; class of 1969 MCRD San Diego

There's a video out on outer axle seals done by a guy from Europe and he explained that your axle actually moves forward and backwards as you turn that's why outer axle seals don't last very long at all and he has tried multiple outer axle seals none of them perform very good

I did the upgrade also and my 8th injector got really quiet and the rest of the engine I can hear the fan pushing air when revving motor versus diesel clattering sound. I’ve not had enough time to see if MPG increase but pedal response is much better. Also highway I’m barely touching pedal. 👍👍👍👍👍

There are not a lot of Jeep ZJ videos with Solid Poly motor mounts. Although I don't have the Ironman4x4Fab, I have the DBMetalworx instead, I have to say that the torque transfer is very noticeable. The vibrations is more pronounce in the cabin, you can feel the engine in your pedal. It is a night and day difference from stock mounts. (1994 Jeep ZJ 5.2). If I was given a free Ironman4x4Fab motor mount, I would not hesitate to install it either. However comparing prices with other brand, I will leave you guys to decide.

If the coding system is the same as the 8274 then CV9 would translate as follows: C= 3rd month (March) V= 22 working day (Warn didn’t work weekends) 9= 1979 (by ‘89 they were using a different coding system)

as far as the thread cutting...if you are not planning on having to remove it the newly cut threads are less likely to allow the bolts to back out...btw...do you have a link to the new solenoid upgrade, I have an 8274 that needs new solenoids?
